  • Female Afghan Cadets Start Special Operations Education in Turkey

Did you know that this year 89 female members of the Afghan National Police (ANP) started a training program in Turkey called, “Special Operations Education”? This is a training program that provides Turkish police officers an opportunity to assist their Afghan counterparts in all fields of security training for two months. As the Turkish Deputy Interior Minister has stated, “even though geographically Turkey and Afghanistan are distant to each other, historically, culturally, and politically they are close.” And for of this reason, “there is a great deal of cooperation between the General Directorate of Police in Turkey and the Afghan National Police”. Since 2011 about 2,627 Afghan policemen and women have joined this program.
How do you view the role of women in the Afghan police force?

In Afghan and Muslim society; one of the most important virtues is to protect and guard the welfare of the most vulnerable of our society, this includes women, children and the elderly. To place women in harms way against brutal killers only shows to represent the disingenuous and cowardly nature of Western Powers in their agenda within Afghanistan and that their claims to want to promote a higher quality of life for our people is largely lip service.

Also, as economist Kaushik Basu says: "For a nation to progress it is important for people to spend time on science, mathematics and literature instead of spending time showing that 5,000 years ago their ancestors did science, mathematics and literature."

So you rather have a male policeman search woman for security reasons... or have a male policeman handling women criminals or those accused of crimes... wow, now imagine the airports...
Nice Muslim and Afghans we will become, huh...
Don't quote me or speak to me if you hate Afghanistan, you be ignored.

People with identity crisis will be ignored as well.

If you read the OP's post they're talking about women working in special operations, not training women for airport security. Special Operations would mean they'd be involved in combative roles and hence these women would become potential targets

If you want women placed in harms way because you're afraid to die, not sure why you'd call yourself a man, nevermind Muslim or Afghan.

harm never excuses the elderly or the vulnerable due to those factors. how about enabling or empowering the vulnerable so when they are being treated like a herd of cows, they know how to strike back??
women are vulnerable because they are held back from gaining skills that men pride themselves in acquiring otherwise. whoever tells you to take pride in your vulnerability, is not someone with good intentions for you.

In the Islamic history women have had always an important role when it comes to war. Aisha, Prophets wife, was a great leader as well as a strong warrior Women might be physically weaker than men thats why we should teach them to learn to defend themselves from barbaric people like the Taliban!

Women are weaker than men. Stop with this stupid Western feminist brainwashing of yours, blaming us for all your miseries. You want men to give you a special respect just because you are women but at the same time you blame us for oppressing you. You want an equal world? Cool. Then men should treat men as we treat other men. Be merciless. I bet you wouldnt like that.

Mens world is extremely competitive, aggressive and harsh. Yet Western feminism wants us to give women special rights to women at expense of men. Hilarious.

This stupid Western lefty liberalism is destroying Western civilization. Thanks to Liberalism, the average European man is weak, effeminate, moaner and coward. I don't want this for my country nor for my people. We have to learn all the positive things that the West offers us but we need to keep at bay by all means Liberalism and its degenerate moral relativism. Keep it away from our youth or they will emasculate them. Our women will become prostitutes. West has so many good things. But when it comes to morality, they are sinking.

i don't identify myself as a feminist. it's such a broad concept that any idiot (woman) can attach any bs to that term and the claim for it to be feminism. similarly, there are lots of morons (men) out there who think they can dispute the entire concept of feminism by the terms that the previous feminists have chosen to define it as.
get your ****ing head out of the gutter. if men were stronger than women in general, any man from the street would be able to compete against a female athlete and win. ANY MAN. that is not the case because as any termite crawling out of the gutter might know, small things like the air that we breathe and the water that we drink amongst other (including) the environment that we are surrounded by are things that make us who we are.
tell a man or a woman that she is weak, don't send her to school and don't teach her how to defend herself, she will or he will have the intelligence of a cow. feed and teach it proper things and you will have different results.
this is a very basic thing and if you don't understand this then you and i are nowhere near each other on the chart of levels of sanity. in other words, you are too dumb for us to be having this conversation.
if you have something to say to me, say it like a human being or go **** yourself. you decide whether you want to land your ass in my ignore list or not.

What kind of stupid logic is this? LOL

We are talking about average men and women. Not about female athletes and average men. Stop with your cherrypicking BS. Men and women are completely different, not matter how much you feminists cry about it. Genetically, biologically, physically,.. and even the way we behave socially. We are 100% different..

                    How old are you? lmao

in a messed up society like afghanistan, the life experiences of the average afgham male is different than the experiences of the average afghan woman. to make them similarly capable, we have to set similar expectations for both and give both similar levels of education and other skills to benefit from.

i just remembered you saying something about our women turning in to prostitutes up there somewhere. if the men of a society were not immoral, the women wouldn't become prostitutes. prostitutes don't become prostitutes to entertain other prostitutes.

You know even transgender women have unfair advantage against normal women athlete? That's one of the reasons even most liberals westerners don't want transgenders to compete in women sports.

athletes compete on fair grounds. they are not dragged from the street and put together in a ring to fight against their will. they are two individuals whose training and dieting routines are monitored. wars are not fought under similar conditions. having some ability to defend yourself is better than none. don't take things so literal. that is not the point.
yes, men and women are different. not to the point where one is capable of being trained enough to make a difference in a combat against the enemy and the other will evaporate in to thin air because they were put under harsh conditions. when it gets to the point where they have to fight, things are not pleasant already. they are not pleasant for the men, they are not pleasant for the women. rather than waiting there to be assaulted and then killed, it's better to be able to fight back.

and transgender athletes are not allowed to compete in the same teams because they are constantly taking hormone supplements. they have issues going on in their bodies that affect their performance. not the point.

We still have a long way to go when it comes to women rights in Afghanistan. Afghan society is extremely sexists. Indeed women deserve to enjoy equal rights as their fellow male countrymen do.

Stop twisting my words, honey. I did not say that. I said Western liberalism want men to become effeminate and women to become prostitutes. I find all this sexual revolution disgusting and inmoral. So do vast majority of Afghan, Pakistanis, Arabs (Iranians unfortunately not so much. They have completely lost their ghairat). We need to educate our men and women to have a moral, healthy and good life. Western liberalism is not the correct way.
