    The Mean Girls of Afghanistan

Two Sundays ago, Afghan-Americans tuned in to see Instagram-famous Afghan girl Durrani Popal. Durrani is an employee of DASH, the infamous clothing store owned by the Kardashian sisters. In the slew of Insta-famous-for-nothing girls, Durrani was given special attention from our community, for the sole fact that she was Afghan, beautiful, and works for the Kardashians. There are only a handful of fashion and makeup Afghan gurus, and with her big beautiful blue eyes and amazing fashion sense, it’s easy to see why Afghan-Americans were eager for her to shed positive light on her ethnic background. We all waited for her to mention her roots. It would be great to have a beautiful Afghan girl working in the fashion and entertainment industry represent us, showing the world that Afghan women do not always need saving, and can achieve non-traditional career roles.

The problem of these women is the denial of sexuality in our culture. Our so called "culture" and "morality'' is extremely misogynistic. Women are considered as inferior, ignorant sexual objects.

This is why even secular liberal irreligious progressive Afghan men beat their wives, when they are young and single, the stalk women, they are known for notoriously sexually harassing women.

When women from an environment like ours escape and discover Western secular liberal environment, they become like these girls.

This is why I always say: if we stop selling women in Afghanistan, if we stop demanding people marry people they don't want to get married to, if we stop demanding money and expensive marriages, of we stop prohibiting men and women to choose their own partners, we will allow young men and women to develop a natural normal sexual lifestyle which is in line with Islam.

The stupid conservatism and hypocrisy of our culture is why we have a very problematic relationship between men and women in our society.

By having more sex on tv, more sex in songs, more objectification of women according to Western standards, we won't liberate women or do them a service.

All conservative countries where women are "liberated" by the west have extremely high level of prostitution and sex trafficking.

Lebanon, Philippines and many African countries are good examples of this kind if Western "liberation" and sexual "revolution".

Shamlawar didn't you tell me to go to the kitchen or start knitting about two days ago because you didn't like what I was saying?? Even IF I was wrong, you didn't tell me to educate myself, you told me to go make use of myself in the kitchen.

Does that not make you a misogynist??

Sexual revolution is not about showing sex on tv, it's about not shaming women for mentioning their sexualities or trying to educate themselves about their own sexuality.

Objectification of women is not sexual revolution. Whoever said a drunk assed mullah wannabe should be giving khutbas on sexual revolution. Stick to using religion to brainwash people.

and I don't see what this subject has to do with sexual revolution. Did you just wake up today with a magical desire to educate people on this topic??

Afghan girls are always mean girls. Its always about makeup, fashion and designer dresses for them. Nothing new there. And maybe this girl just wants to go to work and come back home. She doesn't owe it to anyone entertain half a million afghans behind their tv screens.

I was talking about you. Judging by your level of comprehension, intelligence etc, I can't possibly think of a better job for you than to chop onions, make sandwitches etc.

Would you have been more intelligent, I wouldn't have said that.

It has nothing to do with your gender. See, you are brainwashed into thinking that criticism of you means criticism of women. You are an individual, you don't represent all women.

Now that I think about it, even chopping onions is not a good idea. Judging by the amount of profanity you use while interacting with people online, I tend to think you have temper and anger problem. Chopping onions would be highly hazardous for you. You might chop your own fingers or attack someone else with a knife because you can't control your feelings.

so when a person is really really stupid, the only job appropriate for them is that which involves a kitchen?? and when they are really really smart, they can go out there and have better jobs like the sort of jobs that men in afghanistan have..why that makes your mother really really stupid as well as half the population of afghanistan.

you are not a misogynist at all.

And since when did being a beautician become a non traditional career option for an afghan woman?? Or, approvable by sharia??

How embarrassing for your boyfriend, mullah mansour. For six years you have been preaching something the basics of which you don't even understand on your own.

                    You bloody opportunist.

That chick looks like a dude in makeup.

                      No thanks.

Even though I am one, I always cringe when I read "Afghan-Americans" because I know what I read next will be disappointing
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

I dislike when both Afghan men/women pass off as being Persian. it is the same as being an uncle tom or coonery.
