Herodotus mentioned (the key word being mentioned) a tribe of Aryans called "Pakthas" or Pactyans, but he did not name them that. Pashtun has translated to other empires and people in the form of different names, like Afghans to the persians and armenians, Pathans to the indians and Pactyan to the the greeks. For example the Assyrians "mentioned" the invading Arabs as "bedouins" from the desert in the 8th century yet the name Arab is much older and is derived from an ancestor from Yemen called "Yarub." The Arabs themselves were noted as Bedouins by their northern semitic brothers but called themselves "Arabs."

The point i am trying to make is that different people have been called different names by other ethnic groups throughout history. Just like we call indians regardless of religion "Hindowans" and punjabi pakis as "Tor Makh."
He knows what we are talking about but this is called ,,indian style chalaki,,,.He grown up among indian in karachi .In karachi the indain make fun of their accent. The same pashtuns look down up on their language and culture there.
whatever name their indian freind call them they feel proud.
This is called ,,pakio virus ,,in simple words.
    The rest you know better.
