somebody that is typically (indian). someone who would not fit outside the subcontinent, that is the indic look, hardly any difference in looks between pakistani punjabis and north indians in general. As for some of those Indian (sikh) punjabis who look pashtun, they most likely migrated to India from Peshawar or surrounding areas during the partition. Lots of sikh jatts were living in those areas before 47

Well yeah Pakistan and Indian Punjabis generally look similar, but they definitely look different to Up/Biharis on average. Most of the Sikhs that migrated from Hindkowan territory were Bhappas and not Jatts.

Biharies are eastern Indians, so obviously they will look a bit different from punjabis. But overall Punjabis are a indian people and they share almost everything with rest of Indians, they are not close to Pashtuns, Dardic or even Kashmiries for that matter, in fact usually lighter skinned Punjabis turn out be Kashmiries like (Nawaz Sharif) family for example, they are not real punjabis

How can they not be related at all to dards ? Panjab border Kashmir and Himachal as well as Pakhtunkhwa.... These border have been porous for the most part of history.

Only the border areas have been porous, but the heart of Punjab is the Ravi region, stretching in to indian Punjab. This area is culturally north India, they have very little to do with Pakhtunkhwa, Dards, Kashmir etc... of course the border regions got mixed, this is how Hindkowans were born to begin with, they are mixed between Punjabis, Pashtuns

Come to Lahore and see how punjabis look, try to differentiate them from north indians and then we will see who is the idiot
yes they have 'indic look' but every ethnic group has a unique set of facial features and body; Punjabi women for example have long noses and happen to be tall and curvy on average, I have been to Lahore and Karachi and travel through Sindh and Punjab and know the differences.

Also When historians say "India", ancient India was centered around the indus valley and the border of the IVC was between Delhi to Gujarat, beyond that line was the Ganges civilization and those people are gangetic not Industic

The IVC and gangetic civilizations, were very different, they had different histories and different peoples and in the history of the subcontinent, the Indus states and Gangetic states were only unified 3 times briefly, and the most recent was during British rule, Punjab and Sindh has always been Indus heartland.

South India was never part of the IVC nor have the Indus spirit as Aitaz Ahsan would say, even Eastern India and Central India do not have Indus history or spirit, only Gujarat has Indus spirit and history and that's why memons integrated so well into Pakistan.

How are Indus and Ganga that different? Punjabi is the language of Indus and Hindi is the original language of the Ganga plains, how are they that different?

Do you really think Punjabis are closer to Pashtuns, Dards, Central Asians etc... then they are to their Ganga brothers east of them?

You must be on drugs to think of that, you have been brain washed by Pak propaganda

Yes every different region with in india had some minor differences, but they are part of same culture and same people. Just ask any outsider and he will tell you

You're so ignorant, every modern historian outside Pakistan knows about the difference between the Indus and Ganges civilization, the peoples, histories are different, they might look similar yet are different.

You're a shameless Muhajir who is hellbent on spewing Indian nationalist rhetoric.

Hindi is not the native language of the Ganges, the native language was something else.

Urdu was created by the Mughal army camps 300 years ago; Hindi only came into existence 130 years ago for political reasons as a counter-movement to Muslim nationalism and influence over Urdu.

Even all the pathans and mughal settlers felt different from the locals.

Do you really think Punjabis are closer to Pashtuns, Dards, Central Asians etc... then they are to their Ganga brothers east of them?
The border areas of Punjab, such as Potohar overlaps with KP; Sialkot and north Punjab overlap with kashmir; Dera Ghazi Khan and Muzzagarh overlaps with Balochistan and Multan and south Punjab overlaps with Sindh; Punjab is diverse has it's own unqiueness; even genetically Punjabis have different make up than UP/Bihari bhaiyas like you, only chooras have similar racial make up.

The differences aren't minor, there's a cline and the differences increase along that cline, who cares what outsiders think White people think we're all the same, they think Afghans,Pakis,Arabs and Indians are the same, you have a colonial complex idc what some ignorant redneck has to say.

What I'm saying isn't even Paki propaganda, this what modern historians are now writing, they see Pakistan as an arrangement of an Indus valley state -you're brainwashed by Tarek Fatah, even Liberal Pakistani scholars have written papers about this phenomenon.

It is said that certain Jatt clans are the descendants of Indo-Scythians. Dont forget the White Huns ruled all the way from Afghanistan to present day North west India.

What a joke you are. You're clearly a punjabi pretending to be a Pashtun. Why would a pashtun get angry if I call punjabis to be related to Indians. lol your're not fooling anyone

also which historians are you talking about? any links? Lol hindi is not a language from UP/Ganga? what is?. what genetics are you talking about?
stop making things out of your behind like a typical pak propaganda spreader

The fact of the matter is, there was no difference between Pakistan Punjab/Sindh and North India before 1947, People use to travel and live all over, be it Lahore, Karachi, Delhi, Lucknow etc... Even my grand fathers side was already in Lahore before the partition

Lol, looks like Wahe Guru/Jatt apache is back. Most jatts are typically very indian looking, on average they might be taller then other indians, because most of them come from a village background, but still in terms of looks they are still very desi and indian. The first picture is very rare, most jatts do not look like that

This is the first time i've joined this forum.... if I was trying to make all Jatts look "fair" and non Indian looking why would a post pictures of darker Jatts ? Also if u look at Bobby Sandhu and Gurmukh Sandhu they look almost the same bar skin colour......I will be honest many of the Jatts in Pakistan have lost this look because Islam allows u to marry anyone whereas Jatts in India particularly Sikh Jatts take Khap laws very seriously and don't marry out of caste and don't marry anyone from the same gotra as any of their 4 grandparents..... Obviously the average Jatt is brown but I am just showing there is diversity in phenotypes.
