It's one thing to be jubilant after a victory but tipping the furniture over, running around like a mad man and pouring water over your head is just dumb. I last saw that carry on at a Nazia Iqbal show and yeah I asked serious questions of myself.

There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

I think that is too dramatic. A 10km walk at the end of the day with a windchill factor of -26c will do just fine. In fact at one point I had the urge to wash my hands with snow, which almost instantly chilled my hands, but then washing hands is symbolic, its as if saying, I wash my hands of the dirt it carried and nothing cleans the hands more than snow.Originally posted by tor_khan View PostIt's one thing to be jubilant after a victory but tipping the furniture over, running around like a mad man and pouring water over your head is just dumb.

When we were kids we used to wrestle together, cousins or whoever even fight, kids are innocent. By the sounds of it the grown men in your family wrestle together in the living room, now that's strange.Originally posted by DaZahroJaam. This afridi guy is the most pakipied player of his time.
He has no respect for pashtu and pashtuns. He is karachiwal afridi.
Whenever the pashtuns asked him something in pashtu he shown some hatered towards pashtu language. He support pak army .
Pashtuns should count the killing of waziris in waziristan and afridis in khyber by pak army.
I respect everyone,s view here but carrying pakistani flag as a pashtun is great insult to pashtuns itself.
Every pashtuns should fly the red flag of pashtunistan .
punjab control your sources you celebrate their win
punjab killing your people you celebrate their win
punjab treat you like 3rd class citizens and terrorists and you cleberate their win.

I know FATA would like to leave Pakistan, but Pak will never let them go. FATA is the land where they can test their military in-case if they get into it with India.Originally posted by GhairatmandPakistan hating "Pashtuns" do not exist in real life.
If real Pashtuns hated Pakistan then they would have done something about like Baloch are doing
Therefore all of you hating trolls should shut up and either support our great country Pakistan or get the hell out of it.
Until then the PAF has good airstikes at people's homes, and vehicles.

Pashtuns didn't campaign to have the province renamed from NWFP to replace it with KPK. Pashtunkhwa / Pakhtunkhwa is preferable.Originally posted by GhairatmandI knew you were a Pakistan hater but seriously, you cannot express such anti-Pakistan sentiments in your home town, or any town for that matter, in KPK.
I don't hate Pakistan. In fact of the most fascinating journeys was taking the train from Karachi to Peshawar and stopping along the way in small towns in the Sindh and the Punjab and learning that the country is a vast and varied place. I have a friend who comes from a small village just outside Multan and he tells me that it is green, the water is refreshing and you feel an idyllic peace when you are there. Sounds tempting. I've not been but the invite is something is tempting as you can't beat the hospitality and hard work of ordinary people.
But do I ask questions of Pakistan, it's reason for being and how and why a select group of Punjabis have risen into control positions? Yes. I ask with diplomacy and tact and I ask openly. If I ask questions that challenge Pakistan's two nation theory foundation that doesn't mean that I am an Indian agent. Many Pashtuns are not institutionalised but then the state institutions including the so-called free media refuse to ask those basic questions. Hence, you appear to have an obedient silence.
Reality is there are pockets of emotional resistance but after the crushing of Bacha Khan's movement, Pashtuns lost an important channel, which was as much about self-help as it was about independence. Even Mallah Yousafzai in her book casts doubt on her 'Pakistani'ness whilst seemingly being comfortable about it at other times.
The biggest proof of Pakistan being afraid of people who are critical thinkers is that today children in India know Bacha Khan in their textbooks, whilst in Pakistan there is complete silence.Last edited by tor_khan; 03-04-2014, 02:14 AM.

i don't think there is anything wrong with being a pakistani or favoring pakistan over afghanistan as long as you are morally correct about it. what do you get from the company of a bunch of racist, selfish and egocentric afghans who are wholeheartedly claiming to be afghans or are "pure breed" afghans??

Sometime I think Pakistan cricket team should be renamed to either "Pashtun cricket Team" or "Pashtunized Cricket Team"
Considering that in every single game they have atleast 4-5 Pashtun players While if we go by rough %age population Selection than pakistan should not have more than 1 Player or 2 in the team"Seer Speen Wazeer"

I would say Lala is the legend, and Fawad Alam was also heroic in this match.Originally posted by Shehbaz Khan View PostWhich sensible cricket lover will not go crazy after seeing this
He snatched the 'victory' from Bangladesh this time. Fingers crossed for the Finals. All the best to Afghanistan tomorrow.
I think Afridi hurt himself though, so he should take care. Get a malshi or something.

I don't mean to contradict you, but from my understanding Stockholm syndrome is a situation where hostages begin to see their captors as the good guys instead of the authorities.Originally posted by tor_khan View PostEver heard of Stockholm Syndrome? In other situations where the hostage is a bit crafty, the hostage makes the captors believe that his suffering from Stockholm syndrome.
In my case, I look forward to be a hostage.
