Its unfair to diss Qais because of his weed smoking and lack of initiative. The sad thing is that Qais fell in love with a forum account, and once he saw the person behind the account, all the thrill was gone. Then that account got deleted and so did the whole debacle.Originally posted by Khostai View Post-_- get over yourself and get marry. Don't you have the urge for intimacy?
If Qais was really into someone he would have been more persistent.
Logic and rational dedeuction is the only escape from madness.

I think the Golden Mean, the middle way and justice is solution to every such issue. Parents have their role as they bring you to this world, the mother suffers a lot, the father usually provides the financial part and till you are an adult mature citizen, you have to listen to them, obey them and seek their guidance.
Once you cross the adolescence, now being a complete individual you decide on your marriage, religion , education, profession, job etc.
Also if you take Islam only as a religion(faith), then there is not a big deal but if you take it as a social, cultural, educational, economic and political system, then yes it is a biog deal. then your daughter cannot put on what she wants and your son has to grow beard and stuff like that.

If my beliefs are good enough for me why wouldn't I pass that on to my offspring? Anyone who wouldn't do the same don't seem like they are confident in their own beliefs if they don't think they are good enough for their children or that a child should know better than they do.There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

Not quite. First of all, there is no such thing as "Abrahamic religions". There is just one Abrahamic religion:Originally posted by Entropy View PostMuslim are allowed to marry those of Abrahamic religions (Christian/Islam/Judaism) But not Atheists or others
for a good reason
The Noble Quran 3:67
Ibrâhim (Abraham) was neither a Jew nor a Christian, but he was a true Muslim Hanifa (Islâmic Monotheism - to worship none but Allâh Alone) and he was not of Al-Mushrikûn.
The verse makes it clear, that the Jews and Christians are Mushrikun/Polytheists.
Marriage with Jews and Christians is only permissible if it serves a greater good or if there is no other alternative. This is only for Muslim men. The condition is to raise children as Muslims and the one marrying a Jewish or Christian woman must be capable of educating her so that she may become a Muslima.
Those people falling in love with secular, non-practicing Christian women and marrying them saying it is permissible are obviously wrong. Their marriage is invalid. They are committing "zina".Originally posted by FirdousiNever talk with Afghans about politics. All their political knowledge is limited to conspiracy theories, political demonization and contradictions. No logic, no reason.

teach your children how to think, not what to think. further more, creationism is said to be a form of child abuse. besides, think about it. what will you achieve from it other than raising a child who does not understand why he believes in what he is said to believe in??
if the promised truth is the only and ultimate truth is the only truth then pursuing it from any direction should eventually lead you to it.

All religious fluff aside, the only moral question when it comes to bringing children to the world is a simple one, are the parents qualified to have children?Originally posted by Shamlawar Khurasani View PostNot quite. Are they genetically qualified, in other words they have tested themselves so their children are not born with some disease. Are they psychologically qualified. Are they financially qualified.
Prophet Muhammad had nine wives because he was a King and that is what kings did back then. While polygamy is not the issues, the issue is why would a messenger of God needs to get married. Why does the messenger of God needs to have sex. Sexy can never be spiritual.
At least the followers of Jesus were smart enough to paint him as celibate but then again there is always the nagging question of Marry Magdalene.
Religion is corruption.
