I respectfully disagree with you that muslims don't appreciate human love. The stories of Laila-Majnoon , Farhad-Shirin, Adam khan-Durkhanai, Heer-Ranja have been immortalized in muslim cultures. Large part of poetry in muslim cultures is dedicated to this human love. Infact there is a hadith which says to love God is to serve and love his creation, all creation animals, humans, nature etc.
No religion or culture can stop love, it is the most powerful force in the universe.
Islam and Pashto culture promotes love. We use words like gula, grana, jana after the names of people. When we greet each other we ask about everyone health and wellbeing in that persons family. We go out of our way to make sure no one feels left out and make sure everyone feels welcomed. If this isn't love than what is.
there is a shrine in jalaabad or that area where mentally ill are taken there and cared for (or at least it used to be like that). take me there so i'm cured
bollywood love is always a prelude to marriage, if love was simply a cheap way to make people procreate then its no wonder most intelligent people laugh at romantic love and bollywood love for that matter
secondly, in bollywood love the hero or the girl always woo the other through songs and fighting and lots of persuasion, what is the difference in that and most mammals during mating season?
so the advanced indian mind has already concluded that romantic love is simply a process for procreation and it makes no pretensions otherwise, but simple-minded afghans who're influenced by persian poetry and sufi mambo jumbo confuse Love with romantic love
in real love there is no poetry, no wooing, no ego
Bollywood is really Bad if you think it's reality.
Some of the Desi girls I have met are so much in to bollywood, they think that real life is like that and they expect their husband's to act like bollywood hero's

bollywood is in the business of entertainment, romantic love is also a sort of entertainment. like all entertainment romantic love has its bell curve, it starts great, it goes up culminating in sex and after that its down spiral to break up or "friendship".
