        1. An Islamic revivalist movement, often characterized by moral conservatism, literalism, and the attempt to implement Islamic values in all spheres of life.
        2. The religious faith, principles, or cause of Islam.

Islamism - the monotheistic religious system of Muslims founded in Arabia in the 7th century and based on the teachings of Muhammad as laid down in the Koran; "Islam is a complete way of life, not a Sunday religion"; "the term Muhammadanism is offensive to Muslims who believe that Allah, not Muhammad, founded their religion"

It seems that it is a real word, but twerking and selfie are in the.dictionary too.

The origins of."Islamism" is from 1747, my.guess, the British. It is.used to denigrate Islam and it destroy it. Islam isn't a sunday.religion and is.a way.of.life. so using islamism in a.sentence doesn't make.sense.

I have no problem with anyone on this forum, even the likes of Khostai who I have extreme disagreements with but I know he means well and despite the insults. With that being said, I am 100% with Shamlawar on the issue of Badlun. Even in Badlun's post he tries to denigrate political Islam while still trying to maintain some objective high ground when talking Afghanistan/Pakistan. I don't throw the word kafir around a lot when it comes to self proclaimed Muslims, pretty much never, but in the case of Badlun his own posts are evidence against him.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

I think he's just a lib. He still believes in Allah swt, but takes criticism of Islam by western standards to heart. Just misguided. As a Muslim, it is your duty to reach out to someone that is misguided.

A lot of people, I've read on this forum don't seem to be comfortable in their own skin. And yeah, I think it's mostly the younger crowd.

Just an observation I've made in the brief time that I've started reading the forum.

unfortunately badlun is an old man and if the negative western perspective of islam has turned him into a kafir especially at his old age where he should know better, then he and the west deserve each other and his believe was never strong to begin with.

i have no obligation to reach out to a kafir, especially when he tries to use religious knowledge in order to distort the religion.

Everybody has a different experience. I don't want to say I come from a rich family, but in Pakistan, we were upper middle class. My grandfather was a zameendar, from the lower ranks. He was jahil, and even taught himself to read by going to madrassa. He ended up becoming hafez of Quaran Shareef.

When growing in Pakistan, I was supposed to be the poster boy of Islam in my village and city. My grandfather's reputation was such, that Maulvis from the area would come to our house to meet with him.

He enrolled me to the local madrassa on the intersection from our house in the city.

I have only been to madrassa for one day in my entire life. The Maulvi/Mullah slapped me for not reciting Bismillah in Arabic accent.

I have been educated in Islam by what we call Qari saab, or ie Maulvi/Mullah that would come to my house, like a tutor. This was embarrassing for my grandfather because he was friends with everyone at every masjid in the area. The point of me telling this story is that everyone comes from a different background with different experiences. I was supposed to be like an Alaam, but I was just a spoiled kid with a silver spoon in my mouth. It was much after my grandfather's death that I became humble.

Perhaps you know Badlun, better than me, but we should always make an effort to reach out to people as Muslims. Not harass or solicit people, but always give good advice.

                  Just my opinion Khan saab.

Islam is not about your personal circumstances. If a person mocks, ridicules or deliberately basic teachings of Islam, then there is no doubt about his disbelief. All 4 schools of law unanimously agree that such a person is not a Muslim.

Badlun is a member since 2010. In hundreds of posts he reiterated his ideas of pure kufr.

Doubting the disbelief of such a person is by itself disbelief.

People call qadyanis kaafirs without second thought because they commit kufr by believing in another messenger.

Yet people dont consider Badlun who believes in another law giver besides Allah and negates clear verses because they conflict with Western secularism.
