Oh. I thought this was the reason why he is not posting anymore.

    I'm glad it is resolved.

But I am sad to see his absence.

My goodness Toramana!!!What a surprise! I am completely struck by seeing my name with these people..Ah!!Thanks a lot for putting me there. I feel privileged and embarrassed at the same time.

No, Pashtun forum is completely new to me. My favorites forums have always been Science, Religion, Philosophy, music/art and culture. But I have temporarily disowned them, lol.

I don't have an iota of doubt about the intelligence of these members (excluding myself). They are capable of thinking abstractly; can reason and understand opinions/ideas and can plan and organize their knowledge/analysis/experiences to answer new questions. In sum, most of them have the ability to rationalize and being able to defend their viewpoint with logic and reasoning without getting frustrated over the opponent's viewpoint.

I absolutely loved this list of members since these folks have the power to curb the terrorism of ignorance with their knowledge (as I have noticed). Also, if I had to make this thread, I would have selected more or less the same members. Nonetheless, I am very thanful to you for acknowledging the efforts of these members who are working tirelessly to subvert all schemes aimed at putting obstacles in the road to knowledge and discovery as well as the struggle for Pashtun nationalism and personal liberties.

Nadir Shah: What a gentleman!!! He maintains high level of affability and graciousness even when one would think he should be denouncing the opponent without any thinking further. He seems to have great leadership skills and I would love to see him as our leader. And I cant forget to mention his vast knowledge and more importantly, the skill to use that knowledge. PF is fortunate to have him as one of the most valuable members.

Maseed: His devotion to Pashtun nationalism is the most appealing thing to me.His political awareness about the Pashtun issues/problems is very impressive. I have seen him taking care of the entire thread on his own which is pretty remarkable. I try not to miss his posts.

BLS: Always precise and concise...he appears to me like a "watchful" guard on the forum..being vigiliant all the time so that in the event of outbreak, he is there to provide preventive measures. His reminds me of Pashtun Student Federation for some unknown reason but in a good sense.

Tor Khan: I have never interacted with him but I am not ignorant of his presence. His polite nature always reminds me of Plato's famous quote--"Wise men talk because they have something to say, fools talk because they have to say something". It's always a pleasure learning from him.

Hairan: I acknowledge him a lot for initiating and discussing a thread about the "existence of the Jinnat". I admire his intelligence for thinking about the issue to that extent..I would be looking forward to him.

Muhsina: I had the chance of reading some of her posts and on the basis of that I admire her contribution.

And here I come to Lewanaye and Qrratugai..

Qrratugai: AWESOME! SUPERB!HIGHLY TALENTED!BRAINY!HUMOROUS!and very INTELLIGENT..She is one of the few scholars that I had an oppotunity to interact in my life. She is very articulate in her speech and honest in her opinion.I am a great admirer of her literary skills..she is enthusiastic about gaining knowledge and learning new concepts/ideas and that is what I admire the most in her.She has an immense knowledge and she uses it at the right moment, for the right reason, and at the right spot. I consider her the most virtuous as she has the NERVE to speak up against any wrongdoing (that is my definition of virtuousness/morality). A brave, intelligent, sensitive, humurous, respectable, and a true Pashtuna. I consider her a great asset for us.

Lewanaye Zalmaye: I can't describe him. I simply can't. I still have not come out of the shock of meeting him. He is a holy miracle..untold in the sacred texts..yet to be unearthed by the shamans, sorcerers, and priets..I have a great feeling of veneration for him. An extraordinary intellectual with his razor-sharp-sugar-coated humor, critical acumen, incredible ingenuity, being painstakingly accurate in his reasoning, and last but not the least, his ENORMOUS knowldge power..I want to dissect each and every bit of his brain, take out his neurons, make a xerox of the grey matter, and perform Levanaye's brain-augmentation surgery on myself...An out-an-out thorough genius who can put anyone at one's wits' end!!! I thought I am the worst Lewanai until I met him...He truly deserve that spot....although I highly doubt he will ever be able to get 72 caucasian virgins in afterlife :D

that's for now....I hope my list keep expanding...*being optimistic*

Wa da nar lure, Gulalai!!! You've made me speechless -- and that happens at only two times: Either I'm stunned at some folly, or I'm taken aback by a pleasant surprise. In this case, it's the latter.

So I'll go take a deep breath and drink a glass of water (no, really, I mean plain, pure water ) and will return once I've digested all of what you've said, kha?!

The book sounds like typical blackmailing innocent mindless people, so I'm SURE I've been forced to read it at some points in my life. And if not that, then something very similar to it -- like those books that talk about what happened to that girl who watched TV when her mom asked her to help her wash some clothes or something, and that TV was buried with her because she loved it so much! If only I could get hold of that book now (it was also in Urdu) and all the stories it had about what's gonna happen to you when you die ... LOL.

I was such a dumb little girl back then I TOTALLY fell for it! I then refused to watch TV for several days 'cause I was like, "I don't wanna have a tv buried with me when Allah (swt) hates it that much!" LOL. Little did I think, TVs didn't exist at the time of the Prophet, so what we're being forcefully fed is just someone's extremist ideas that don't fit all humans. Rather, they don't fit ANYONE, but some are just unfortunate enough to be programmed to believe in them, so, yeah, it ends up working for them.

I am relatively new member in this forum so i am not so certain baout intelligent members here. Actually we cant measure the level of intelligence of members here merely from their posts, though logic and reason can be reflected from it. it is all about writing skills.

An aged person will surely write wise and fancy words while an intelligent young person may not possess the impressive writing skills though he may be very intelligent for his age.

So on the basis of writing power, i appreciate the skill of following members.

                  Leavanay zalmay

                  Kcube

                  Mazhala

                  Pir Rokhan

                  Qrratugai

                  Tor Khan

                  Gaia

                      Thanks for comments.

I created this thread to appreciate the writing skills of members-especially young people- here, acknowledge the potential in them, and encourage them to further develop their abilities. We Pashtus need educated lot that is well-versed in modern/non-traditional thought and contemporary knowledges. One of the weaknesses of our society-due to which it has suffered immensely- is the non-existance of a critical mass of intellectuals and writers that can define/describe us to ourselves and to the world in a rational and objective manner, and give us hope and future vision. It my wish to see Pashtun ideologues, thinkers, and writers emerge and have an impact on the general attitude and world-view of Pashtuns.

It gives me immense pleasure to see some signs of a thought revolution taking place in Pashtuns in the form of dialogue and discussion among young Pashtuns concerned with Pashtun issues and interested in alternative views of and approaches o the problems we are facing today. In the past one or two years I see many newcomers- that are more aware and objective- discussing our issues.

I didn't include many people, e.g. Pir-e-Rokhan, Khyal, Hairan, etc. in the list because some of them are known/established writers/journalists and might not need encouragement. I will also exclude Oshu from the list.

Furthermore, there are many valuable members here but the purpose of this thread was to identify those concerned with more profound issues of life. The list is incomplete and I am going to expand it.

I will include three new members in the best writers list.

Mahzala...I have read the poems by Mahzala and have been deeply impressed by her love for her people. Humblesness and focussedness is what characterises her. I have deep regards for her.

                          Mayana...eloquent and logical...
Mohsina....she caught my eyes the movement she posted her first message...she is rational and objective...

                          The modified list is now:

                          1. gulalai, qrratugai, Mahzala, Nadir Shah, MazlumyarMaseed, Lewanaye Zalmay, BLS, , Mohsina, Tor_Khan, Mayana
