Why is this Luffy? Pashtuns, when we take advantage of education, are amongst the brightest on earth.Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.
A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai
For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."
The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!
-Ferishta, 1560–1620

Yet we are merely chokidaar, khan sahab material in Pakistani media, savages who are enemies of women........they could have produced some interesting story but like usual they preferred negative portrayal of pakhtuns.......Originally posted by Admin Khan View PostWhy is this Luffy? I dont watch these pakistani dramas , but on another forum i was argueing that pakhtuns are presented negatively in pakistani media and some one posted this link of drama...just quickly went through drama, in further episodes they have undressed and humiliated pakhtuns in worst possible way.....and there is no doubt that kandahar dramas would be decent, Quetta tv serials are known for their quality unlike kamasal peshaweris.Originally posted by torkham View PostIf you want to watch pashtun dramas, please forget this trashy gaudy pakistani drama disease. Watch any kandahari drama for authenticity and decency, many on youtube. Just search kandahari drama, there are atleast 5 on youtube.

Pak pashtuns are in some deep coma. They themeselves are producing trash pashto films and CD dramas........the only pakhtuns of pak who produce quality stuff about pakhtuns are of quetta centre.Originally posted by khushal View PostI dont know anything about this stuff but my question is are afghan dramas also making fun of pashtuns like the paki ones and why are the pak pashuns allowing this to happen?

I have not watched the whole show, is the village is shown to be of charsada?Originally posted by Killzai View Postthis is a very old show, i remember when it used to come on tv a few years ago ironically, these are charsadda pashtuns, which are some of the least knowledgeable about pashtunwali and pashto in general charsadda pathans are more watered down than even peshawaris they have a terrible accent and they are "modern" not tribal

Many punjabis cant even differentiate between charsada and FATA....Some punjabis visit peshawer and boast of it infront of their friends and family members as if he has visited tora bora.......and charsadaywals, not a big fan of them...they act like kamasals, are garnkup, dou-number, do not have the manners to talk and are badarwakhi...same is case with mardanis...the whole peshawer valley sucks.Originally posted by Killzai View Posti would believe it if it was set in waziristan, bannu, baluchistan, even other agencies or kohat, but charsada aka naswar capital of pakistan? looooooooooooool i remeber this guy from charsadda who couldnt pronounce "h" so he used to say "khakim" instead of "hakim"

Saifullahs are among the top elite families of pakistan, they only intermarry with other elite families....in a way they are heavily mixed, they dont marry with their own marwats who are very poor people....except anwar saifullah, who is very social, they dont even shake hands with marwats , if they do by mistake then wash their hands with detol.Originally posted by Killzai View Postyeah thats true i remeber every time i went to peshawar then islamabad, punjabis would always ask me to tell them stories about guns and drugs lol mardanis are very fair skinned from what i noticed even your marwat saifullahs (i know them well on a personal level) have intermarried with mardani yousafzais. i knew a mardani yousafzai who's mama (uncle) was marwat saifullah from ghazni khel.

It is a huge family , i am talking about their core senior members...young ones are mammy daddy type. In our area traditions and values matter alot. If person of saifullahs stature go to a house of an average marwat and enjoys his dawat, meal....sits in his baitak...then he would enjoys the support of that family in his life time....khans and malaks do this but saifullah family didnt know that, too much disconnected from marwat traditions so they repeatidly failed in elections and were defeated by unknown khans...now anwar saifullah has learn the lesson, they show some humility and has to sit with villagers and "request" them to vote for them.Originally posted by Killzai View Postwow you make them sounds horrible lol i know the young ones from school and my brother was friends with them too, they always seemed like very good and genuine people with real swag. those saifullahs were the first people i saw in pakistan that went to a restaurant and gave the waiter a tip of rs. 500 and i was shocked by that. there was absolutely no need to! then at the traffic signal, he gave a begger rs.1000

No they are not from tank, may be they have also married with nawab of tank family...... The chief of marwat tribe was late anwar kamal khan....dont know who is leading the tribe and qaumi jirga now. Only anwar saifullah has marwat features, his other brothers look more like their khattak mother kalsum saifullah...interestingly he is the most humble one, well-mannered and clever in politics.....another negative thing about them is that none of them can speak in marwat dialect, they speak in kheen dialect....also they dont put chadar on one shoulder which is strong tradition among marwats.Originally posted by Killzai View Postyes they were mummy daddy type, all with american passports and going to college/university abroad (now some are in uk too) but exaclty, how you said, they should have make sure that their whole tribe votes for them, they should have good relations with the whole village and know them personally then people will vote for them. the saifullahs are good at business (i know they own a lot of things, even mobilink shares and they own a plaza in blue area islamabad) but they should understand that politics is a different game which you need the support of people. they were based in islamabad and hardly visited lakki. i used to think they were khans or other officials of marwat tribe until i found out they were just a powerful family. i think they are from tank too as well as lakki, they used to have a old car with a tank number plate.
