Punjabi looks much more similar to people of north India on average than they do to pashtuns, tajiks, Kalash etc.... who are Iranic people. 85% of Punjabis come from the vedic tall, good looking, warrior caste/kshatriya or brahmin tribes or clans from Central Asia that crossed the indus river several, several, several years ago. 5% of Punjabis are probably like Adivasi, South Indian Dravidian type or pre-vedic natives of india, you see, the Adivasi admixture of Punjabis is really small, Adivasis just explains what the pure native indians look before aryan admixture. The remaining 10% of Punjabis come from Arab tribes during Islamic expansion, Punjabis being Syyeds, Qureshis, or tribes going by the name "Alvi", there's a number of Punjabi clans claiming Arab origin. Other than Arabs, Turks and Persians during the age of Islamic expansion may have also been absorbed into the Punjabi ethnic group, and during that time, The number two enemy to Pashtuns (Tajiks) didn't exist until like shortly after.

The most recent ethnic groups mixing into Punjabis are Pashtuns, however if Pakistan becomes a worser country, we'll see Punjabis mixing into Pashtuns . However the really small dravidian mix in Punjabis still makes Punjabis much darker.

Sidenote**, Though Brahuis speak a Dravidian language, they look the same as Pashtuns or Iranic peoples and not like Madrasi people.

Jatts only make a small part of punjab anyways, also even they are probably 50/50, they are probably a bridging population between Iranids and Indids.

Though I must say on Pakistani side of Punjab there are so many balochis, pashtuns, kashmiries that have mixed with locals, that may contribute to certian people have higher Iranid types looks to lets say compared to Indian punjab

Actually I just met a girl from Rawalpindi like two hours back in the library and she actually looks like a (Syrian Hijabi), I am not sure of her exact background though

^I agree but you have to tell this to the Tajik trolls who claim all these Persian historians as their own, even claiming ferdowsi who was clearly an Iranian. If you go in their racist forums you will see that they try to claim tons of Pashtun tribes as tajik!

Unfortunately for them, the word Tajik didnt exist before the 20th century so their claim on these scholars is invalid.

I agree, but you have to notice who usually starts these sort threads on punjabis. people like Wahe Guru, jatt apache etc... many more people like them, who are punjabis themselves
