India also has SOME bad people, rude people, etc. Pakistan also has good people, nice people, and terrific people. Islamic Republic is an oxymoron. Just like secular muslim or halal pork.

The problem of Pakistan is not that it ranks lower than India, it's completely natural as India is more populated.

The problem of Pakistan and all other muslim countries is (with maybe the exception of Iran currently) the constant betrayal of their elites.

I am always amazed at how muslims manage to be so united in the mosque.

Completely different people from all races and all origins come into the mosque and there is never a fight, they are all praying like a single man.

The problem is when muslims come out of the mosque.

The muslim world is in a state of rottenness.

One thing I've noticed is that Pashtuns have the complete opposite culture to Japanese.

the question is how bad can a muslim get before he ceases to be a muslim? I am not in a position to declare anyone non muslim, but some times we have to wonder if almost everything in a society is going against the teaching/ideals of Islam, can it be called Islamic? Islam is often blamed for the evils of our societies, but looking at the bigger picture, this is totally unfair for Islam itself. Instead of blaming backward cultures/societies, the blame is put on Islam. This is the reason it is very important in my opinion to differentiate "so called" muslims and Islam, because most often what these muslims do and practice is not Islam.

Also regarding your second point, there are different theories, one is that Pakistan was made for muslims for subcontinent, people feared that Islam will die out because of hindu majority, the other is it was made to persevere the muslim identity, nationalism alive, things like culture, language etc...

To be honest I am not sure what it was made for, it is really up to the individual to decide, whether he is a religious muslim or just cultural one. This debate is still going in Pakistan till this day
