From what I underestand, gravitational forces act on objects with mass, so where did the mass originate from before we throw gravity into the mix?
He explains that in fact there is something prior to this "nothing," which he describes as “the laws of gravity and quantum theory.” When he says "nothing," he is actually describing the absence of matter.

Unlike Newton, Hawkings believe that at one point there was "nothing," that there was an absence of matter. The becoming of matter was the start of the universe, prior to this was a set of laws that are described in quantum theory.

where did Khushal go .? he was supposed to demonstrate the conservation of mass law to us and explain why Krauss' hypothesis would violate this law.

apparently Khushal has also discovered that Antoine Lavoisier is also secretly Issac Newton.

what's the difference between matter and mass?

so what's your actual physics and mathematics level ......tell us.

Then I'm going to give you a conservation of mass problem to solve ...sound fair?
Why are you so desperate to out wit me mathematically. Why cant you answer the question.

Because you made an assertion not ask a question; and how can I answer when you already corrected me right?

I want to see why you think Krauss' claim mutes the Law of Conservation of Energy and Mass which Lavosier ...ahem I mean Newton (thanks for the correction, I never knew Newton was disgusing himself) formulated

To do that I need to see your understanding of the Law of Conservation of Mass and Energy by seeing you represent it mathematically and manipulating the expression to demonstrate why Krauss' hypothesis would not work

I mean no known physicist has called out Krauss on this accord; if you found out something that these Physicists overlooked you could be famous.

I know where your going with this and I dont necessarily disagree with the video but the title is misleading. Its not really from "nothing" but something from the absence of matter is more correct because when you mislead you dont really educate.

he actually addresses this issue in the video.

I know that now, I made my first comment before I watched the video completely. Basically what Hawkings is saying is that Law precedes matter.

so from where came this 'law'?

Dont ask to many questions Faye, or else you would be turned to nothing from something. lol

When Hawkings cant explain something, he then calls it a miracle. hahahahaha

when Krauss says "miracle" I doubt he means it in the supernatural way you think of

I think he's saying something AMAZING happens.
