    Stupid logic.

Aboriginals are natives of Australia yet overwhelming majority speak English in every city across the continent.

Your Logic is flawed. Kabul is a predominitly Pashtun city btw. I agree with pakhtun here. The majority of Farsi speakers in these are Pashtuns who speak Farsi because of political reasons. As of all kings of Afghanistan have.

Kabul is 60-70% Pashtun, and they speak Pashto.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

that's totally untrue. tajiks are native to the north, central, and west of the country and there are more tajiks living in these areas inside afghanistan than outside of afghanistan. this is while most afghans don't even live in afghanistan.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

the rise of kabul's pashtun population has mostly happened in the last 10 years with the return of refugees from pakistan. just from observation, kabul is not majority pashtun.

while i have no doubt that pashtuns are the majority of kabul province, i have a hard time believing a government that hasn't been able to take a census of the country in the last 11 years.

I have to disagree here randolph. There are several theories about the tajiks. One of them is that they are desednandts of persian migration which happened when the mongols sacked iran and they came in as refugees into the north since the mongols attacked from the north. Even kuchis themselves say that pasthuns were once natives of the north and central parts until the mongols attacked. Another theory is that they are just Persianized pashtuns who adopted farsi and Persian culture. But it depends on who you ask really.

the physical differences rule out any pashtun connection, as a trained afghan eye can usually differentiate a tajik and a pashtun. there is no proof of older signifigant pashtun populations in modern day tajik areas such mazar, herat, or kabul city. to me, a kuchis 1000 yr old spoken word pseudo history holds no weight against real documented history.

tajiks and pashtuns are both of the same soil, trying to discredit ones history is unislamic.

My family is from the north (Balkh to be exact) and it would be a slap to the face if it was just refereed to as "tajik land". It's an oxymoron to call it "tajik areas" since there is no real historical proof that tajiks were there before pasthuns. other then the Iranian encyclopedia (which is totally biased and against pasthuns) say that even tajiks were native to to the south. Can you believe that? Just because there are more pasthuns in the south, doesn't mean there can't be pasthuns in the north. Although i agree with your last post, but what makes you not believe the kuchis a thousand year old nomadic people, then to trust western propaganda writing history about Afghanistan?

most northern pashtuns were settled there by abdur rahman khan. tajiks live in kandahar and helmand but we can call them "pashtun areas" and likewise there is no historical proof that pashtuns were there before tajiks. i don't trust kuchi stories 100% because unless something is written down, "facts" seem to fade away each time someone tells the story throughout time. i mean pashtuns are not even in agreement about the origins of our people, so of course there is room for doubt whenever something is discussed about pashtun history.

You keep saying they are native while I keep saying they aren't. If these so called Tajiks are native then why are only pashtuns considered afghans and the natives while Tajiks aren't. Why can't Tajiks also be considered the natives? Just a quick sidenote: 2 different ethnic groups cannot be native to one region. It's called vast migration which people have been doing for thousands of years.
