  • Soldat denied being a christian?

I was looking for pashto songs on youtube and recognized soldats videos.

Stop the discrimination of Orthodox Christians in Israel - YouTube

There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

But he shouldn´t mix everything and create an identity which is fine untill he starts to lash out at everyone else who has a different opinion as him.

Lashing at "Islamic Radicalism" while being a pro-Russian invasion in Chechnya and their mass murder, rape and disappearance policy doesn´t make sense.

Injustice should be dealt with the same way no matter where one may encounter it!

I am sure he is not pro Russian opression but he thinks Russian opression is better than saudi petro dollar opression (wahabi radicalism). He thinks he is choosing lesser of the two evils in his eyes. I don't agree with him but thats his opinion which i respect.

Posing in front of Russian flags or wearing Russian military uniform is definitly not "choosing the lesser of the two evils".

I can´t respect someone who is ideologically dishonest.

No wrong, he is a staunch supporter of Soviet conquest of Afghanistan.

I think its all economics guys. I may be wrong and he may have the most amazing job with Microsoft... but Soldat looks like he had some trouble as a youth is my guess. I dont know what he got involved in; but it appears that he sort of drifted in the wrong direction. THe ideologies of the father are usually passed to the son, so I may be wrong but I am guessing his familial tendencies were to be involved in hyper secularist pro marxist ideologies.

Over time, he started to put some meaning to his life because this couldnt be all that there is right? Just some 9-5 job somewhere scraping by? So then he started to define himself as a Pashtun messiah, i.e. the second coming of Amanullah, the resurrection of the Red Prince himself, etc etc etc.

This in turn translated into his survival instict honing in on the fact that picking on Islam was now a lucrative trade. In fact, it can make millions. It can bring popularity and result in elected positions (Aya Hirsi Ali who was shown to be a serial liar).

So now he is trying his damndest to be the Hirsi Ali of London. And its not such a stupid economic strategy actually; I mean hes got the "right stuff"
                        - Hes ancestorally from the area
                        - He defines himself as an ex Muslim
                        - He stakes all positions in ways that result in annihalation of even indigenous Muslim populations.

So Badmash Khel why Soldat needs to be shunned is that his views have nothing to do with Saudis. His goal is utter and complete annihalation of Islam. If he could have it his way every copy of the Quran would be burned and every person who was a Muslim would be treated via an Inquisition.

However, Soldat's evolution I suspect, was in response to generally not being able to cope with hte fact that he, like all of us, is ordinary and this was exacerbated by academic and professional failings that made him one of the "commoners" struggling to get by.

What he forgets about is that there is no dishonor in being a simple person, a zamindaar, a car salesman, a shoe salesman as long as you are a loving person and dont ruin the lives of others.

Speaking of Microsoft, they ask really tough interview questions. They were on campus last month, and oh boy! :-P

Anyways, back on topic. Despite Maseed attacking me various times, despite Maseed going on a campaign to defame the board(it was a phase back in 2010), despite Maseed doing many other things which out of respect I wont mention, I still feel like he is my Pashtun brother, and I forgive him and wish to teach him that he has deviated in an unparalleled level. The more we attack him, the more we push him further away, and the more he embraces ideologies where he seeks acceptance. We should try to put him back on the right path, by logically answering his inquiries. We all deviate in form or another, since we aren't perfect. Nobody would know him as well as I do, since I've witnessed all his phases. Sangar is another anomoly as well, albeit a polar opposite of Maseed.

Dear Maseed, if you read this, pay this thread a visit so either I, BA, Usman, Mostapa, Tor_Kham or one of our many seniors/masharan can politely debate your current frame of thought in a rational way where we can reach a mutual understanding.

                          Best,

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

You respect an opinion which says one form of oppression is better than another?

I don't respect his idiotic and hypocritical opinions, but I respect his freedom to hold them.
