ATTOCK: A case has been lodged today against 500 people for rampage, assault on Hazro Police Station and blockade on Motorway yesterday, SAMAA quotes police source saying on Thursday.

According to police sources, all the arrangements have been completed for stanch the potential protest demonstration today, as Rawalpindi’s contingent of police commandoes and shelling squad arrived in Hazro.

Also, heavy contingents of police from Police Lines Attock and nearby police stations have been called on the spot.

It should be mentioned here that three kids including Sajjad, Mehran and Kashif, aged between 13 and 15, were murdered after they were kidnapped on September 9 from their village of Jalalia in the limit of Hazro Police Station. Police, moving on a tip-off, arrested the seven kidnappers, including Allahyar, Suhaleen and Sabir on Tuesday evening.

Receiving the report of their arrest, the villagers yesterday stormed Hazro police station and demanded the police to hand over the kidnappers so that they could punish the culprits the way they want, as they cannot wait for lengthy legal proceeding.

The infuriated protesters blocked Islamabad-Peshawar Motorway (M-1) suspending traffic near Chacch Interchange (Attock) in protest against the killing of three teenage boys. The demonstrators also were chanting slogans against the police and the murderers.

Meantime, police in large number have arrived at the flashpoint to stem the protest demonstration which may turn violent today (Thursday). --SAMAA
