Is immigration good or bad?

If i was the raes of afghanistan i would issue fiat that all those who immigrate (and relinquish afghan nationality) to become citizens of another country to be persona non grata in afghanistan.

However if they migrate for work and opportunities, business or safety, and return regularly, like kochyan, they will be respected for the business they bring back home.

Immigration is a deficit for hewad, deficit of identity for the individual, problems in host culture for children, and like Hakim alluded, you are admitting your nation is lesser.

Migrant workers, even if for years migrate to the west, for business, education, safety, work, do by nature of migration, return home, and bring back the wealth, not just monetary but human resource and wider knowledge gained as well.

Immigration per se is nothing wrong. What I don't like about majority of immigrants is that living outside the country they tend to criticize everything what what is going in the country of thier origins. Yet they don't do anything to help. I can uderstand negative feelings about power, regime. What I can't understand is their criticism in relation to those who didn't leave their country and their choices. If someone works for ex. for government or drug dealers it's because this job gives him money for himself and extended family. Plus, most immigrants live in NATO countries or its allies who are present in Afghanistan. So in this context criticism that x works for government or army while the immigrant lives in the country with full social security sounds funny.
Immigrants often forget that the money allowed them to emigrate. Ordinary citizen can't even think about leaving the country due to financial reasons.
I also realize that sometimes is difficult to distinguish immigration from exile.
