Sometimes you can destinguishe Tajiks from Pashtuns by looks. But you can do that only if you lived in Afghanistan for a long time. I don't know how to say it, but Khost peopel always say that Tajiks are "smooth" in acting and apiriance, Pashtuns look more rough. And not only becuase we have beards and they don't, becuase they also have them. Our noses are more pointer and also our faces are longer. Tajiks have more round face. But in general the difrence is really small. And somtimes Tajiks have mongolian features.

If you listen to Khyber tv when some presentator speak they use sometimes English words like "school" or "problems" or they sometimes say "gee" that must be yes I think in Urdu or something or slang, becuase Pashtuns don't use that words in Afghanistan. We also use some borrowed words from Dari and Arabic, but that doesn't sound so strange, meybe becuase I am used to it and Pakistany Pashtuns also don't see it as strage to use English words. You can also listen to one youtube video someone posted about PAshtuns in Peshawar and how they "rediscouver" Pashtun culture, the girls used a lot of English words.

Do be honest I have really smal info about arabs in Afghanistan sorry.

The region what is now Uzbeckistan was used to be populated by Caucosaoid peopel that cam from the North in the east there were mongloid, later Iranian peopel mixed whith them. this three population are the basis of Uzback peopel. Then the turkish peopel concurred them thats the reason they speak the turkic language. Thats what I know about them, meyebe I am not 100% right. My father said that most of the Uzbacks that are now in Afghanistan came to Afghanistan when Russia became Communist.

Peopel don't say persian, I always hear Farsi and Dari. They are for me almost the same, only Dari is more authentic, peopel say that Farsi, what Iranian speak, have more Arabic words and there Accent is difrent, Dari has lesser Arabic words. I don't wnat to insult, but a lot of Afghans say that Farsi accent sounds "gay" lol.
I think you can compare it to some Arabic dialects of Morroco/Algeria versus Suadi/Iraqi. its basicaly one laguage actually, but some say no they are difrent, but if you can understand Dari than Farsi is no problem to you. Becuase my father speaks Dari and sometime he listen to Iranian news and he understands it perfectly.

About Baloch laguage I don't know, becuase i never heard it, but Tajiks speak Dari and its actualy totaly difrent language, if you compare it to Pashto. They say they are bot Iranic but the difrence is quite big. And Pashto is much harder to learn that Dari. Thats what I hear most of the time form non-pashtun peopel, and even from some pashtuns.

Dear Al Arab, one question I can maybe answer!
Dari and Persian differ firstly in the vowel pronounciation, so that words are read using different vowels. Also surely due to the division of the two states words and expressions differ in usage.
As my Iranian friend once said to me, the Dari/Tajik has the right pronounciation(or lets say the more traditional one), while Farsi is a newer one, and sounds bit softer if You hear it. For me for example who does not speak persian but understands some single words it is easy to hear if people speak Dari, or Farsi from IRI, and even from Tajikistan, as there perhaps due to communist era pronounciation is also a bit different ( if I am not wrong Tajik completely lacks the long A sound typical for Persian, instead the mostly use O).

On Uzbekistan. In somehow Uzbek people are a mix of local people and Turkic/Mongolian tribes.
You can sometimes see uzbeks that have quiet typical Iranic faces, on the other hand there are enough Turkic faces as well (see for example Dostum(he could be easily Kazakh with his look)).
But! In Tajikistan You will find also a lot of Mongoloid looking people. I noticed itspecially for the people of Kulab region(but it may be occasionally that I met such people from there).

You are right that many Tajiks in Uzbekistan had not so many rights during Soviet times, and many are Uzbekified.
On the other hand also many Turkic people from more ancient times got in use with Persian culture. In cities like Samarqand or Bukhara Dari till now is important and understood by some people.
Also there are enough Uzbeks in Tajikistan. Generally between both nations there are tensions and enough dislike. Even both presidents had faught once with eachother but were divided by Nazarbaev(the Kazakhstan president).

What are your thoughts on this?

Well if you're a Pashtun, you want to stand out, if you're more concerned with Afghanistan as a nation and want all ethnicities to eventually fuse together. Then I guess I see your point

I have to agree, pashtuns generally look more rugged than tajiks, we're not necessarily taller but we're more muscular, stern looking, Tajiks also tend to have a sharper Mongol influence than we do. Although there are some Mongolian looking Pashtuns too. Still for me at least the differences are distinct, there are many who kind of have an overlapped appearance, probably mixed background.

Yes both Pashto and Dari is tought in school. Only in the south and east were Pashtuns are majority all subjects are in Pashto and Dari as an extra language, in the North were minorities are more, subjects are in Dari and Pashtu is an extra language, but you must have passed both Dari and Pashto if you want your school diploma otherwise you will not get it. The same whit Univercitys. It depends were you live, so I don't know about Pashtanajan claiming that peopel are forced to speak Dari becuase from what I hear from my family that is not the case.

To be honest, the sound of Persian speech is not the one I like the most.

to Yemenis, Saudis sound very feminine and they say a lot of stuff we consider very gay like "zamel" and "mafhoom" hahhaa, they're even worse than Egyptians

Saudi women sound very sexy though

zamel is like a way of saying "boyfriend", it's what Saudi guys call their friends, but it sounds really queer, like it almost has a connotation of lover. and mafhoum just means "understood?" But it's not really used that much by other Arabs
