The by-birth and patrilineal relationship condition doesn't hold at least for one person i.e., Dr. Hussain Ali Yasa, a Hazara born in Quetta, a former leader of Hazara students at Quetta University, and a leader of Hazara Democratic Front (HDF) a Hazara nationalist party in Baluchistan.

He is also a leader of ANF, Afghan National Front along with Rashid Dustam, Amrullah Salih, Ahmad Zia Masud, etc. and editor of the "Daily Outlook Afghanistan". Recently he was arrested for spying for Pakistan.

I met another person in Peshawar -a resident of Peshawar-very fluent in Pashto who later told me had had a Hazara father and a Mohmand mother. He had some deep links to Hazaras of Quetta as well as Bamyan and had dual nationality of Pakistan, Afghanistan.

This may be generally true about Hazaras. May be Hazaras have special status.

I personally don't aspire for any although would like to spend month or two there. Although, a citizenship type of thing might not be viable and may be also politically problematic, a long-term multiple-entry visa type thing may be good for boosting trade, contacts, etc.

Beradar, you ask for too much. These two governments don't care for people starving to death, you want yourself a luxury to spare you the trouble of applying for a visa like the rest of decent beings.

I was required to get a visa when I took a visit to Afghanistan as I'm born and raised in Canada. I'm not considered Afghan :'(. I have the right in Canada to hold two passports. But, I'm too lazy to go through the trouble of getting an Afghan one. But, whatever. What am I to do with an Afghan passport anyway? Most people in Afghanistan don't own one either.
