Yes. Haroon Bacha comes from Panj Pir Swabi ---and probably, he was living in Peshawar at that time---But as you know Taleban have the reach everywhere especially if your security is insufficient.

Have no clue about that---may be they don't like female singing---One can guess that from the antagonism of our emkhan to female singing---

It is not about female singing but have not seen any good female pashto singer.
In male singers yes few are good like takkar, khyal muhammad and some others. But when you post nazia iqbal's songs and some others' its like they know nothing about singing lol.

I agree with you on that. The younger lot has vulgarized Pashto music. That is the dilemma. When artists come from the lowest levels of the social ladder with low self-esteem, low education, shallow thoughts and shallow personalities, and the aim is to make some quick buck, art gets vulgarized.

But don't you think Gulnar Baigam, Qamar Gula, Mashuq Sultan, Zar Sanga, etc. were exceptions?

Well, the above you mentioned I think none of them came from a proper schooling of music I mean they were not learned but they were better than the current vulgar bekaar type singers.

Friend you just hate women being involved in ANYTHING except slavery.

Anyways Bakht Zamina is amazing and so is Zar Sanga, you don't need formal training in music to be a great musician. Music is from the soul primarily, the technical aspect is just to give it form.
