Hmm... if you don't want a baby, I would also very much disencourage having sex AFTER marriage too. It's not the ring and the ceremony that keep a baby from coming to be.

If not having a baby is the issue, I think - think! - it would be more recommendable the use of condoms, contraceptive pills, IUD, tubal ligations, vasectomy... I could go on

PS: Studies show none of these methods is 100% safe. Just warning, and taking off my back the burden for those 3% of chances to get pregnant even with the use of condoms, contraceptive pills....

Yes you are right but it's more of a ultural thing as well. Sex before marriage in our culture is completely unheard of.

I know it's a cultural thing.... but if one asks how to avoid unwanted pregnancy before and after marriage, those contraceptive methods are the options. That's the only thing I was pointing. It was not my intention - cause I can't afford the headache right now - to get into the cultural discussion.

In any case... if sex in Pashtun/Eastern culture or Indian culture was completely unheard of, I think that news report wouldn't have come to be.... or some honor killings for that matter....

interesting..on my way to work this morning i saw a bunch of activists holding on to banners to condemn the option..
if you can't afford to have children due to whatever reasons you have, you do not deserve to have the number after 5. same goes to people suffering from poverty.
