I have been lucky in that case ... I have lent thousands of dollars to my friends when they needed and they always return it on time before I even ask. I once even sent couple grands to a friend who went vacation to pakistan, but instead of planned 2 months he stayed 6 months there and needed money. I sent him and as soon as he came back, within a month he returned it all.

In my young school days lots of kids used to ask to borrow money and being how simple I was back then I used to give it and when I asked for it back they would come up with an excuse not to return it. I would say I lost out on a good £30 like that throughout my entire high school. So I learnt a major lesson as Nazia khor said only lend money to people you trust with your heart and you know that they will return it one day.

But try to avoid borrowing or lending money as in some cases it can lead to conflict.."Neither borrower nor a lender be"
