ever since i have started working i have not asked any one for anything. i only ask my brother knowing he will never refuse if he has it and he asks me when he is in need. and he never takes money back when you pay him... not even our parents.
i used to be like you. now when some one i know is effing around asks me i simply tell them i don't have any. the good part is that my friends don't ask. i wish some of them did because they have families and children or their partners don't work or got laid off and i am just saving my money or blowing it off on silly things...

RRUUUUDE!!! Handsome guys and paighlo injono?!

It should read: Handsome guys and khaapero injono! (k, fine - "khaista injono" would do as well!)

                      Hmph!

As for the question ... yeah, well, you don't lend money to just acquaintances. You lend it to only extremely close friends -- you know, the type of friends who call you names out of love and respect The ones whom you are in such close touch with that you can call frequently. To others, you just say, "Got no extra money right now." OR just remind them that you're a married man and have a lotta responsibilities on your head. If they have some respect for themselves, they will back off.

Many times, you can judge from their personality whether they're likely to return the money, or at least be there for you when you need them badly, or not. And lend money to folks just so they can visit another country?! :O No way... unless it was an emergency or something, like their old mother/father was dying or longing to see them or something. Otherwise, for just a luxurious visit? Hell no.

Friends make you smile, Family makes you cry.
Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

                            -Ferishta, 1560–1620
