You know whats amazing is the fact that Pashtuns from "Pakistan" said they dont celebrate it with exception of Afghanistan2010 who loves Pakistani Islami Bayan-hood but if you ask these Pakistani Pashtuns if they celebrate Pakistan indenedence day on the 14th of August of a man who ate pork drank whisky kept dogs in his house and couldnt even recite the kalima they especially Mazaerh would be down the city centre horning in his car "PAKISTAN ZINDABAD".
You know the amazing thing, Nowruz is the indengious celebration of the people, and existed way before the Arabs and Turks enlightened us with Islam, now I ask the same question, why do you celebrate a Arab festivity such as Eid, we never celebrated it before the Arabs and Turks came, so why should we celebrate it over a festival that our real ancestors celebrated.
Its just appalining how we degrade our own cultural values, its no wonder Iran banned Afghans from visiting parks and other tourist areas when Iranians were celebrating this cultural festivals, its because we as Afghans dont even take our own customs and cultural values seriously, we always try our best to be like Arabs and then get spat on by EVERYONE.
Think about it.

What celebration are you talking about, and it is not known to us by the name of Nawroz, and there is no happieness about surviving the harsh winter. It just tells the locals to start with the plant season.Originally posted by Niazi View PostNow (Mullah )you just contradicted your self, celebrating the new season is the mine event in the Naw roz but nations celebrat it in deferent way as our (Mullah) said it in his part of the world or his people welcoming spring with the rising of(Janda) Flag to say thank you God that they made it through harsh winter that's the whole porpuse of NawRoz.

Nawroz za che khraa lakay.
The Islamic emirate of Afghanistan has forbidden this nawroz. And inshaAllah with the establishment of the Islamic emirate,no more Ashura,no more Nawroz,no more Iran.

What makes you think i celebrate 14th of August? you need to take a schizophrenia test. let me break it down to you as easy as i can, dont reply back in circles as your just a brick wall and a waste of time.Originally posted by Soldat_Amir View PostYou know whats amazing is the fact that Pashtuns from "Pakistan" said they dont celebrate it with exception of Afghanistan2010 who loves Pakistani Islami Bayan-hood but if you ask these Pakistani Pashtuns if they celebrate Pakistan indenedence day on the 14th of August of a man who ate pork drank whisky kept dogs in his house and couldnt even recite the kalima they especially Mazaerh would be down the city centre horning in his car "PAKISTAN ZINDABAD".

Firstly its not a Pashtun celebration this Haft Mewa is influenced by Haft Seen, therefore this celebration is associated from direct Persian/Pagan influence. Secondly even if it was a Pashtun tradition that has not been adopted from the region it’s a Pagan ritual that goes against Islam, therefore we abandon it, I love history but to hell with ancient rituals if they collide with the laws of Allah, you got that?. Thirdly, yes we celebrate Eid, but its not a Arab thing, its a Muslim thing. I dont see how much more simple this explanation can get.
and by the way theres plenty of people from Afghanistan on this thread that have no connection to Pakistan that dont celebrate it

Its not an article of faith so its not necessary to believe in it or not. No one should be forced to celebrate it.Originally posted by Manzareh View Post^ Really which imaginary Quran and Hadith did you pull that one out from lol Muslims dont believe in nowroz its a traditional thing pal
I have no problem with people not celebrating it but telling others that its pagan and against Islam is inventing lies against Allah (swt) and Islam.
I have already proved and so have others that the origins of so called Nawroz are older than Zoroastrianism and haft mewa is not zoroastrian ritual. Just because two things have similarities doesn't mean they came from the same souce. Jews have some customs similar to pashtuns, that doesn't make pashtuns isrealites as some claim.
God knows how many harmless traditions have been lost due to stupid uneducated mullahs who declared them haram. I have no doubt that it might have been some imbecile mullahs who outlawed Nawroz so pashtuns had to abandon it. Sada pashtuns need to get their deen from the source itself rather than follow these dumb mullahs.
