and if you dont see why you should paint your thoughts with rainbows, then accept that we dont want to paint ours with rainbows either! certainly not just to agree with a control freak like you.

did i ever ask you why you are giggling like a three year old all the time?? or the rest of you as to what it is that makes you feel inclined to licking each others shoes 24/7? all that you lack is a little leash on you. you can't think for yourself. you can't make a point by yourself. you can't stand up for yourself. heck, you have nothing to stand up for or be angry about. that is how pathetic your existence is.

does anyone notice a pattern here, that most of the individuals who dont celebrate Nawekal have some association with Pakistan?

And those who do have some association with Tajiks.

Ok. There appears to be some confusion regarding what I said.

Obviously people in all parts of Afghanistan know about Nauroz but it is not widely celebrated, e.g "haft shin", etc. by most rural Pashtuns.

Those Tajiks live in "Afghanistan" so that's fine, not trying to be a nationalist, since I don't care about that stuff, but the pattern here seems to be the ones who think Nawekal is not a Pashtun tradition are people who have been removed from the natural Pashtun cultural hearth.

                            Not really.

The agrarian state that Afghanistan is untill today should give you a hint why celebrating the upcoming spring is indeed a very Pashtun/Afghan thing also.
Pashtuns are peasants and their pre-islamic heritage to celebrate the new year and the spring is a constan in their culture and heritage.

If Kurds and Baluchs celebrate it, then you wouldn´t go that far to affiliate them with Tajiks or Persians, would you?

What should we expect from a state that has a christian calendar, was created by pork-eating and alcohol drinking Ismaeli called Jinnah?

Pashtun identity and consciousness is a threat to everything Pakistan stands for, so why leave it intact?

maybe you guys are right, maybe a long time ago pashtuns did celebrate the start of spring/new year what ever (maybe youre wrong idk)... but that doesnt explain the fact that the only pashtuns i've heard of celebrating it are pashtuns on the afghan side of the durand line. If it was so integrated into pashtun culture then pashtuns on the pakistan side of the durand line would also celebrate it no?
