If it were me I'd have punched him for fear he was trying to do more than get my autograph. My estimation of him has increased in face of these uncivilized trashy fans.

Angry Afridi knocks out fan at the airport

DZJ put it in very simple terms for any potential apologists. What happened at the airport is not justified at all. First of all, knowing his popularity, he shouldn't have had his daughter there the first place. Given that his daughter was hurt by an unknown member in the crowd, you take the loss and keep it moving at that point. You learn from your mistake. I mean, you are in demand, and people will want your autograph. If he was so concerned about his daughter in the first place, he shouldn't have had been getting out the main entrance.
Show some class Afridi, it's not like they intentionally decided to push your daughter. If that was the case, his snuff is justifiable, but clearly that wasn't the case. This isn't the first time Afridi has acted like a 5 year old. He has various other incidents as well. Just calling it how I see it. It's really a shame to beat your fan up, very heartbreaking given how many followers he has in Afghanistan and Pakistan. Hopefully he uses a bit common sense next time.Even Adobe Photoshop can't change me.
A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai
For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."
The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

most people in the media have already forgotten this, it was not a big deal, even the guy who was hit by afridi, supported afridi and called him "bhai"
any father would have done the same if his daughter was hurt even unintentionally, the fans should realize that stampede of people can hurt some one seriously, they were just going too crazy, the fans are too blame and also the lack of security
