  • Angry Afridi knocks out fan at the airport

KARACHI: To the utter disappointment of the whole nation, the great “Boom Boom Shahid Afridi” Friday night punched a fan in the face who was only begging him for an autograph, Geo News reported.

Reportedly, Afridi, who was coming out of the airport after arriving here from Bangladesh, flew off the handle, after cohorts thronged him for autographs.

It seemed he was not happy with this fan following and was seen almost running out of the airport with a swarm of his admirers in tow.

After repeated gestures of annoyance, which failed to deter the crowd, he swung a mighty right hand at one of the buffs knocking him out then and there, which proved he could be a “Bang Bang Boxer Afridi” as well.

What a role model. Im disgusted.

A line[Durrand line] of hatred that raised a wall between the two brothers -Hamid Karzai

For generations, the Hindus of India prayed for deliverance from "the venom of the cobra, the teeth of the tiger and the vengeance of the Afghan."

The men of Kábul and Khilj also went home; and whenever they were questioned about the Musulmáns of the Kohistán (the mountains), and how matters stood there, they said, "Don't call it Kohistán, but Afghánistán; for there is nothing there but Afgháns and disturbances." Thus it is clear that for this reason the people of the country call their home in their own language Afghánistán, and themselves Afgháns. The people of India call them Patán; but the reason for this is not known. But it occurs to me, that when, under the rule of Muhammadan sovereigns, Musulmáns first came to the city of Patná, and dwelt there, the people of India (for that reason) called them Patáns—but God knows!

Admin Khana, it's about our loved ones .. When they get hurt we aren't able to control ourselves .. It was a normal reaction ..

I've personally seen Afridi many times when he is home he comes out of his house like after every 3-4 hours for around 20minutes to meet his fans at 13D.

He never used another exit (secrete exit) while coming back to the country not even when he was offered due to security risks after they won the T20 world cup .. Many players used that exit to go to their homes from the Airport .. On the contrary Afridi walked through his fans .. As I said it was his daughter that's why (And the same GEO said that it his daughter fell down and he was out of control)

Shehbaz, punching your fan is unacceptable. No argument can justify snuffing a fan. If the fan harassed her daughter, it would make sense but that wasnt the case. It was just asking for an autograph.

Later talking to Geo News, Shahid Afridi's brother said that Afridi lost temper when the crowd almost trampled his (Afridi's) daughter.

He said that the reckless fans did not ever care about the three-year old girl, who could have been seriously injured in this stampede like situation.

i guess it was the green paki flag to which afridi reacted that way. he should not have waved the flag on his face and ask for an autograph. the people who worry about their little loved ones dont take them to such an agressive crowd in first place.

He is coming home after a long series, first the England and Afghanistan in Abu Dubai .. later the BPL than this Asia Cup .. So his daughter coming to the Airport isn't a new thing .. And that was not a reaction to the Pakistani flag at all .. You want to see there is Pakistan's flag at the top of his house

well if he didn't want people to chase him around the airport then why f was he wearing red amongst all white shirt wearing folks?? and why was his daughter there?? very rude of him to beat a fan like that. i can only imagine how hurt the fan must feel right now not because of the slap but because of shahid's behavior. i don't understand what people need autographs for anyways. so you have someone's autograph, then what?? take it home, stare at it and feel good??

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.
