  • What did you realize today?

you know what I realized today?

Naghma's voice is terrible; even though Bakht Zamina was a servant of the communist regime in Afghanistan, her voice was beautiful and she was gorgeous.

Naghma's voice is so irritating, Nazia Iqbal lays waste to Naghma. But why do people like her so much? She isn't that attractive, granted she does have something about her, but I'm not pitching a tent any time soon.

that's all she's got is a big catalog. She doesn't have to be a Whitney Houston, who honestly isn't that great either, but if I hear her whiney nasal voice that sounds like a chicken being raped, I'll make Kais sell his saggy pants and wide brim hat to score drugs.

Naghma is over rated anyways. God I hate her songs and voice. There aren't many pashto singers who can sing except a few. Afghan music wether pashto or farsi sucks with a few exceptions of the past.

you're right ......but there are as you said a few wonderful singers, Zarsanga is amazing, other than her and Bakht Zamina Afghan female singers sound like whiny and like they're complaining why their husband didn't bring home lamb instead of chicken.

              haha

Thats why I usually listen to Indian/Urdu, Western, and middle eastern music. I don't like the melody, beat, the whole composition of pashto music. Its too hectic and boring.

yeah the rhythm of Pashto music seems to be poor quality; but I do like those mast songs, the ones that make you feel like taking out the toorah on your family's mantle and whipping around with it knocking stuff over.

However you're right, it can be boring ...Pop music is even worse because they're using really poor quality keyboards and cheesy midi samples in their songs haha

Actually truth be told ...Middle Eastern, especially Lebanese, Syrian and Egyptian Pop Music are really terrible too. If I listen to anything Arabic it has to be folky or something associated with Debkah or else it's lame.

Bakht Zamina's beauty is frozen in youth forever. She kind of joins other cultural icons - Che Guevara, Marilyn Monroe, James Dean etc. in that we will never see them old.

Everyone else, Naghma included, ages, though she was attractive in her youth.

It might be that you think that people of a certain age shouldn't appear in public, but that's a value that might be contested by some.

Naghma's new songs, produced in Peshawar with those irritating backing tracks, don't match up to her earlier work with Mangal.

You guys are just so ready to stab your own brothers in the face.

It's cricket; not life and death. Pakistan won an Oscar; celebrate that instead.

I realized how important it is to enjoy life when you are healthy and well. I have been sick for almost 2 weeks in my bed, doing nothing and bored to death.

So the lesson is to enjoy your life as much as you can while you are healthy, because once you taste the misery of being sick, you realize how painful and lonely this life can be.

Some time ago I realized how important is to enjoy life. It doesn't matter if you are healthy or ill. There is only one life to live.
