I also have a real Pashtun cat - brave and fearless.
When he was younger , sometime he used to come home all bloodied due to fights, but he didn't care.
Once he brought a live baby rabbit in his mouth. I took it from his mouth and set it free.
He didn't do that again lol

Lailaa I just recently got a kitten, my sister got it and my mum absolutely HATED having it at first. But omg now she's literally made best friends with the kitten, he even sleeps in her lap. So maybe your mom will eventually grow to accept one, especially if its a kitten lol. The fact that our dear prophet salallahu alayhi wasallam had a cat says it all, they are a blessing.
