funny how some people would sell themselves, their country and the blood of its innocent people for an entree at an imaginary list to heaven rather than earing their entry by decent means. Perhaps they have no faith in themselves otherwise and are extremely selfish and desperate.

al-arab. you may not know but you will definitely feel the suspicion pashtun have of strangers. you will feel the suspicion from the quiet, squinty eyed pashtuns wrapped under their ponchos, from jamrud and all the way to marjan!
naturally, since it is our nature to be suspicious of strangers, you as an iraqi, saudi, what is your interest in afghanistan? (and in pashtunforum for that matter).
incidently, a young english colleague from liverpool has been recently inquiring of how to visit afghanistan, he is a self-confessed (i think wanabe) extreme tourist, claims having visited favellas in brazil and barrios of bolivia. i said to him, wat the fak, you want to take a risk at getting experience of extreme tourism at some taliban holiday camp - i said to him go visit pakistan or india.
back to you al-arab, what is your interest in afghanistan?

Torkham is right people will treat you as a foreigner and suspect your presence there. I remember being in Pakhtunkhwa and a Police man on a bike stopped me and said you walk differently from the locals here whats your business here, I had to offer him some of my Naswar from Bannu and start a convo to win his approval othewise I was off to the police station for ID checks.
and thats just me going across to the local corner shop for a bottle of Pepsi.
I am sure Afghanistan is much worse in terms of suspious. When I was applying for my wifes visa in Islamabad, there was a large group of Pashtuns from Afghanistan, one said hes a Ibrahmimkhel or something like that, straight away they heard my pashto, and a group of them came, and said are you Waziri or from Bannu, so that goes to show its impossible for any foreigner to not be detected by Pashtuns.
We have this instcint built in us whereby we detect habits that are unfamiler to us and straight away generalize for no apparant reason.
I am sure you can get into Afghanistan by bribing someone in Pakhtunkhwa to let you in but however I warn you if your interests are of a different nature one being "Militant" then get ready for a sugar cain stick and a couple of hours of toture by our men in the ANA
If you are there to admire the beautiful gutters and tough mountainous terrain then feel free.
hehehehe who said I dont have a good sense of humor

Most realistic comment on the thread.Originally posted by کیش View PostIf your rich then it would be stupid to visit Afg. All it takes is 5 seconds for bandits to smoke your two Pashtun friends, and kidnap you for ransom.
The minute they notice your a wealthy sheik with a hoola hoop tied around your head then watch out.
Even locals never venture down those lawless twisted roads at night, once a bandit gets hold of you, it will be pure torture and months of being shifted around.
I hope our hewad becomes a truely lawful land where such crimes never occur.
Like they say in Pakhtunkhwa, if your taken or kidnapped to Waziristan especially, say farewell to your loved ones because you aint coming back.
There use to be this very kind and gentle elderly man in my village in Waziristan, he received a phone call once, telling him he has won a lot of rupees/money, and told him to come and collect it, then they found him dead in a ditch.
Our region is not suitable for tourists at the moment, let it get developed and then come in.

my cousin who is a shinwaray was taking some pictures at naghlo. They were approached and he used the word "please" in a sentence. By the time his dad came to his rescue, they had shaved off his head. :hmm
