Brother if you are married then its not a good idea to visit those regions. The people are not hostile to fellow Muslims especially Arabs but there are many factors involved and you don't know anyone personally. Contrary to what these guys are telling you there are Arabs living in peace all over Pashtun regions. Pakistan and Afghanistan are both dependant on aid from Arab countries and development projects. There are Arabs that take care and oversee these things. There are Arab Afghans of multiple generations, that you can't tell apart from locals.

But the thing is who you know and what you are there for. Stay away from fitna and you will be safe. If you seek trouble you will get it. Don't talk about how mug money you have. Don't discuss political issues even if others are speaking. Don't discuss religious issues like groups or sects. You will be fine. Because you never know who is sitting in your group or the person talking is saying things to get your beliefs out.

Pakistani police and Afghan police are Muslim so unless you have something to hide, they won't bother you. But if you are caught with a rockerlauncher, that's a different story.

Al-Arab go to Swat in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, right up north Pakistan. Amazing landscapes, lifes, people and food. It is also very common for you to come accross people that speak arabic there since many of the people travel to the Saudi/Gulf for work and a means of liveleyhood.

You know soldat, last year students of jamiat talba islam killed a bannuchi student in peshawer university. The bannuchi was hearing music aloud in his room in the hostel, a jamiat student came to him to stop music, the bannuchi refused ,yo bal sara ghusa shwo...that jamiat guy gathered more than 100 members of IJT, went to that bannuchi student and started beating him...imagine a single student was beaten and kicked by more than 100 IJT cowards...when they stopped, the bannuchi was already dead...em khan like guys killed an innocent student just over music.
These jumat e islami guys also opposed renaming of NWFP to KP...they are natural antagonists of pashtunism.

I believe your living in the west, am I right or wrong, If I am right, then you should also respect the values of the country your living in, which is freedom to speech and freedom to criticise Religion.

I am a reformist, I could be a Muslim or not and still be a reformist, I want to see Islam reformed, if men, just mere men, wrote the hadiths themselves, made their own conclusions and judgements and wrote the Sharia based on "Mans interpretation" then whats wrong with interpretating the Quran and "Sunnah" to be applied in these times?

Muslims should be encouraged instead of demonised. I oppose Islamophobia at all costs, and encourage Muslims to reform themselves and not give the chance for opponents to brutalise them at every step of criticism.

I bet to differ. In the North of Afghanistan, they dislike Arabs very much they blame them for most of the mess Afghanistan went through. Even Pashtun regions that are influenced by Sufism also dislike Arabs too, especially those with a Sectarian agenda.

If Afghans who are Muslims dislike eachother in the name of Islam, what makes you think they will spare Al Arab?
