Laila, he can keep both. The US one for traveling and the afghan one for fun.

Dzj, if he is a citizen of US he can stay out of the country as long as he wants but if he holds a green card he have to come to states after six months.

You must be enjoying your life in UK as a single individual but in my opinion pashtun families there must be in great social crisis.
PF members are mainly pashtun expatriates in foriegn countries. Why?. Because they in their personal lives are going through phase of identity crisis in a totally foriegn society where neither islam nor pashtun culture is practiced. Thats why they are regularly sticked to Pashtun forums and sites on web. When they make fun of pakistanization of lar pashtuns, it actually reflects their sensitivity about their own identity (in crisis)
I dont want westren pashtuns to be completely honest in telling about their life styles because they simply cant tell us nor we are here for investigation.
A pashtun family should think 1000 times before shifting to UK or America.

most arab countries are like this. In places like saudi you can't even own a property and many foreigners buy through saudi nationals. Should anything happen to the foreigner the saudi can legally take your asset.

This is a sweeping generalization and inaccurate.

Western Pashtuns regularly travel back "home" and have this almost umbilical cord connection from where they have come from. As for Islam, it can be stronger in places like the UK - why? Because in the UK every type of fitna is infront of you. There's no state or environmental deterrent and still muslims can see above this. If anything, it's people from Pakistan, the ones you perceive to be the strong ones, who are the most perverted due to all the repression that has been bred into them.

Lastly, why does every Pakistani Pashtun seem to ask me to "sponsor" them on a visitors visa whenever I go to KPK?

It doesnt matter how much visits you pay to your back home...your permenant residence is a westren country and you are already absorbing influences of westren society...think about your food, clothes, life style and compare it with your relatives in your place of origin...the umbilical cord that you are talking about would become very thin with your next generation in UK...

what kind of logic is this? . You get influenced from some thing when you get exposed to it. In west either you become very weak muslim or very extremist muslim like sangar. Because you have to struggle to keep yourself and your family away from influences of the westren society which are considered bad in our eastren societies.

Ofcourse the westren pashtuns were once like those pakistani pashtuns you are talking about and they reached UK and other countries through legal or illegal means. My advice was for decent , well fed pashtun families, not for jobless.

You talk as though they are worlds apart. I still see chiefs and Shiraz, pizza hut is doing a bustling trade in Peshawar. WHY? It's not like western pashtuns are eating burgers 24/7. we happen to eat the same food and sabzi. Granted we dont have a tanoor in our house, but surprisingly it still tastes the same. As for the next generation comment you are speculating, unless you have a crystal ball.

what kind of logic is this? . You get influenced from some thing when you get exposed to it. It's sound logic. So you don't get any extremists in Pakistan? rofl. There's over 200,000 Pashtuns in the UK - mostly moderate. What's wrong with western society? You happen to use all the benefits of western society, internet, phones, laptops last I checked. There's Muslim schools here, Pashtun centres etc. My city alone has 10,000 pashtuns nearly and everyone in my village in KPK has a family member in the UK. The only people that are worried at those that have no control, just like the international students from places like Pakistan who stare at women as though they have fallen out of the sky. Or Afghan asylum seekers looking to marry a women from UK for passport.

Ofcourse the westren pashtuns were once like those pakistani pashtuns you are talking about and they reached UK and other countries through legal or illegal means. My advice was for decent , well fed pashtun families, not for jobless.
You're advice is falling on deaf ears. As pashtuns here in the UK are decent and also amazingly have *jobs*.
