Most modern countries don't forbid multiple citizenships but some do, depends on the nationality law of a particular country. I wanted Emirates citizenship lol but its super hard to get one. Even if you marry an emiratee women, the government will not grant you citizenship.

See i dont think my dual citizenship is going anywhere (Afghan and American). But i do want to know for someone who is a citizen in Afghanistan, gets married and moves to the US. Do they then have to choose which one to permanently hold?
