Anyhow, I find it extremely distasteful that Punjabis with no knowledge of our culture and language and social values and behaviour are experimenting in Pashto music etc. They are deforming our culture.

It is not just singers. There are some musicians e.g. Ivon Shafiq who are Punjab speakers composing Pashto music and so producing things which don't seem Pashtuns at all.

If that is Pashtun culture accept it as it is, not every society has to have sissyfied men and effeminate characteristics.

And it's ironic that on the next page you're talking about punjabis trying to diminish Pashtun culture ..and yet you're more adamant upon steering and diluting Pashtuns in a way which makes farangayan feel relieved we're no longer a threat to their hegemony

just based on some supremely manufactured and alien ideas of "sophistication" which is really some other society's perception of what sophistication means. Pashtuns have a different idea of sophistication than yours, to Pashtuns you're not sophisticated, just a kamzorai khezlak.

Bacha da kho dai rabandai sam guzar okoo...dair naughty yai.

If you could control your camel proclivities, you will find that the notion of sophistication is more or less the same accross cultures and societies reflected in appreciation for art and artistic creativity. When an Arab urinates in open in a desert or keeps a herd of cancubines or talk in that harsh, rigid, and offending style, that is exactly what is non-sophisticated (not to mention the towel on the head or the ugly-looking robe insufficient to cover the underevolved legs).

But when Arabs have got any thing to do with sophistication except a few in history .

Btw: When you are going to prove conclusively that Pashtuns are some appendage of Arabs?

Toramana, are you talking about the same Ivan Shafiq who is a part of Afghan music industry as well? If yes then some of his Afghan compositions are great.

Yes Shayesta, he is the same Ivon Shafique. I find him boring and monotonic. He mixes up some Punjabi-Indian tones in Pashto music arrangements. Although, he can be a great musicians sometimes (I think if paid handsomely).

Isnt this a little racist? I mean if you are Panjabi, its not like your legs are buff. I also now a lot of fellow Pakistani Pashtuns that have small legs.

                          hahaha

It's impressive to see you're adopting all the typical Farangay characterizations of Musliims; but I guess it shouldn't come as a surprise since your entire ideological presence reeks of the House Slave mentality left over under years of colonial subjugation to the extent that the European ahnd burroughs inside your back end steering you on what to say and where to go.

The problem with your argument is that it is so logically deficient that it cannot even qualify as a legitimate or educated opinion. In your Farangay defined universe being a who*re and various forms of disguised prostitution is called "art" and labeled "sophistication". Such things are just labels. That's where the contention lies, these labels are arbitrary and serve a European cultural imperialist agenda.

Even the most primitive cultures have art and music, so such concepts like sophistication do not even enter the equation. Pashtuns have their own, and they're happy with it. The term is mainly used as a crude Cultural Blackmail tactic to pressure non-European cultures to adopt Farangay W*hordom under the label of progress. The dancing girls in a musical environment has long been associated with prostitution. The fact you want to "encourage' it rather then see it stemmed, demonstrates precisely what you're trying to legitimize.

Are you working anxiously for your chance to stand in front of Queen Elizabeth's royal court so you can get medal of "Sophistication" for your arduous life long work in promoting harlotry using art as a pretext? It seems the only one who doesn't see your house slave tactics

..even the most uncouth under developed Arab with concubines has a life more valuable than anyone from Your culture of Prostitution you label sophisticaton that Knights Homosexuals like Elton John

Please keep that junk in your Master's native lands of London and Paris... we Pashtuns are content without your mentally colonized house slavery inspired advice. JUst keep shining their shoes and be content in your New Culture, leave Pashtuns be, they're Muslims. teach your lovers Tom and Edward about how sophisticated you are, keep Turyalai and Izmarai out of it

All of these new singers are disgraces to our langauge and culture, except Shafique Mureed, he is ok.

Rahman Kharoti, Niamatullah Urgunai, Khair Mohammad, Katawazai, Abdullah Muqarai, Bahram Jan, etc. are who you should listen to if you want good music and of course Sardar Takkar, Baryalai Samadi, Khyal Mohammad, Gulzar Alam. Stick to traditional music and you will never be disappointed.
