Grave he is saying you can do good deeds on this Earth even if you are a non-muslim. True. It is a good deed when non-muslims give charity and are generous to the poor. But it doesn't count in next life because they disbelieved.

offcourse you can do good deeds if you are not muslim but the reasons will be different than a muslim.
as a muslim you will not steal cuz its forbidden and you will be punished for it by Allah while others wont steal it cuz they might think it is something low or will get in trouble with the authorities.

how do you know someone's good deed will not counted if he/she is non muslim.

Children are all pure and later on they are shaped by their parents. Then when they become adults they are going to be judged by their actions. If they think about the signs given to them by the Creator and if they are sincere, they will find a path towards the truth, which is Islam....

You need religion to refine the nature. It is like me knowing that driving is good, but how do i drive is not taught to me....So you go and read a book to pass the driving test first, (mcq's) and then you have a practical driving test...then you have passed. Its not enough to say oh driving is good, so I have passed my test..

Islam teaches the limits of Human Being, that you can do everything but within these limits. Every human who has some sense knows that killing is evil, raping is evil and that stealing is evil etc....You do not need religion for that. But you need religion to guide you towards the right path. Just fitrah (nature) by itself isnt enough, the same way studying biology at A-level isn't enough to become a Doctor although its the right path towards achieving that...
