  • Most embarrassing memories

    Salaam walaikom,
I know you all have a sense of humor.
Today I was discussing with my students our most embarrassing memories. We had a few really good laughs.

I would say my worst that I can never live down:

I was a contestant on Canadian Idol. *bows head in shame* It was before I was Muslim - so its not my fault. I made it to top 20. But still..wow. Humiliating!

    Whats yours?

Lol thats called PICA syndrome! Sand eater!

My first day of high school was also VERY embarrassing. I was leaving the cafeteria at lunch time and going up the HUGE stairs that are in the front of the caf, and I tripped UP the stairs. Slammed my face on he first step. And my moron brother (who was in grade 12 at the time) screams out "OMG YOU'R A LOSER". So the whole school looked up and laughed at me. I later punched my brother and gave him a bloody nose when we got home - my dad gave me $20 for "giving him what he deserved" hehe

I was a kid of age 9 and we were at a carnival in our town and I was walking with my mom and it got quite crowded so I carried walking on leaning on my mom for a good 5-10 minutes and I heard my cousin and my whole family laughing their heads off. So I wondered why and I looked back and saw my mom there! So I looked to my right and =O it was some chinese lady! I almost died of embarrasment when she looked at me smiling..I was like who are you

                            oh
ya...im french. I teach French. I only speak english outside of work. I thought I said that...perhaps not.
French people are perverts who don't wash their hands when they go to the washroom. But I am not THAT kind of French. I am French canadian. *phew* Go habs go!

So what did the french teacher do to the girl? is it x-rated seeing that this person is french?

when i was 16 years old, i was washing the floor in my grandmas house when i heard a certain elderly woman's voice calling over to my grandma...a few moments later when i looked up i realized that every one in the family was staring at me. apparently the old lady had found a perfect girl for his sister's son...(my uncle)--they tease me to this very present day.
Ahh thats really sad I hate it when they target young kids for their marriage its just totally wrong! This distant family of ours backhome..I was 14 and I talked to my uncle there and somehow we got onto the topic of marriage and turns out there was 19 years of difference between him and his wife. What really put me off him was when he said he used to pick his wife up as a baby! Tauba
