^ you have no idea!!!! we arent even allowed to eat second servings.....well actually that is kinda a lie....it depends on what it is to have second serving of. So if it is like meat: qurma, kabab.....then my dad gives the "look" like are you sure you want to eat something that can clog your arteries

Ha ha ha yeah i think almost every Afghan family is like that. Meat is such a big deal. My parents prefer like banjan, shalgham, karela, kachaloo, lubya, sabzi etc. I think my mom cooks qurma/meat only 1 or 2 times a week


Oh and dont you hate it when you are a guest, and the host family usually the mother, piles meat on your plate for you. And you kinda look at it as if you dont know what to do with it

Haha, Dad usually wins but the last in the last few contests I was declared the winner .. We both can eath like 3-4 Kg Kabaabs lol it's fun .. try it

And yeah meat is there for Afghans/Pakhtuns. Mong kho da ghwakhi na baghair guzara na kegi .. And I don't know when was the last time when I ate tepar, kaddu, karela, tendi lol I eat 'matar, alogan, benglai and saag' !!
