depression is an illness.. its not a matter of just picking urself up.... the brain is essentially a chemical factory... imbalances affect us... when you deal with depressed individuals ull learn not 2 mock them by belittling them... a family friend recently committed suicide as he was severely depressed...

Well man, I'm sorry for your loss. But Dreamer wror, when you deal with people, you learn to talk calmly and not tell them they're spouting garbage right off the bat. That only makes one look depressed them self. And I mean no offense by saying this.

                • oh and btw being sad isnt being depressed... theres a difference for what lay people call depressed and for what actually is medically classed as being depressed

                    • no worries... im sorry for being a little harsh...
I believe that mental health has enough stigma as it is without there being anymore... My mums cousin was a Schitzophrenic and she had learning disabilities as well as being epileptic... she was also severely depressed... I believe that combination would be enough to make anyone depressed... she lived to the age of abt 50 and then due to her depression stopped eating and drinking.... she eventually died

No apology necessary, bro. I wasn't as clear as I should have been and that led to some misunderstanding. I am to blame for that.

The deterioration of mental health is a heartbreaking process to witness. I've seen cases of Alzheimer's and Dementia in the family and it's awful.

No doubt, my paternal grandmother is showing early signs of it, but she denies it. My paternal uncle is a physician though, so I'd take his word over hers.

I appreciate that information. She lives with my uncle though, the physician, so he or his wife usually manage all of her medical related things. She's also a long-time diabetic as well so they already have regular stops to make at clinics.
