I could see Jews smartening up, but our folks are a different story. This alone should nullify the Pashtun/Bani Israel theory lol.

The Mizrahi Jews... Wow!... They gave birth to Emmanuelle Chriqui lol.

Man you said it. I had Kurdish friends in university and our languages are incredibly alike. Sorani Kurdish in particular. Words for colours, for example, were identical. If you pay close attention you can sometimes get the gist of what they're saying too.

Natalie Portman is beautiful, no doubt.

those who say the semetic argument want 2 align themselves to quranic characters namely the prophets... most of the ones mentioned were semetic and thus thye will see themselves as superior in some way... moronic

Sorani is just one of the 3 major dialects, the others are Kurmanji and Gorani. They all have their own particular areas of being spoken I think.

Lol, I heard the whole Bani Israel thing was initiated by the Moghuls, who after unsuccessfully trying to conquer Pashtun lands by force, decided to deny the Pashtun claims by linking them to Bani Israel. Ingenious really, since in the Quran it is said that the Bani Israel have no land to call their own.

Pashtuns, instead of realizing the main scheme, decide to accept this theory based on ridiculous reasons. One reason I've heard is, "We are so good looking, therefore we must be descendants of Hazrat Yusuf who was also very good looking." I guess that speaks for itself lol.

All in all though, I'd become Bani Israel for Emmanuelle Chriqui or Natalie Portman if they asked me to.

I guess as serious as things may seem at the time, people later on will always find them funny and simple. History is awesome haha.

Yeah, Jewish women have a very unique look. But I think the Sephardi and Mizrahi ones are prettier then the Ashkenazi ones. They have the tanned look as opposed to the pale European one. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder though lol.

Haha, really... Are they still married?

I knew some half-Pashtun/half-Jewish kids in the past. They had a very interesting look. Among the siblings, some looked more Jewish while others looked more Pashtun lol.

I'm sorry to hear that, bro. It's sad when people do these kinds of things, and that too at the worst of times.

My dad spent a long time in the UK. I was born there too. It's interesting hearing about how Pashtuns got there, and what they did. I wish I could have been there in the 1970s. I would've like to have seen all the chubby blonde British women wearing shalwar kamees outfits for their ethnic husbands. And it's funny how so many epic love stories used to begin at the pub.

If I could go back, I'd like to see Bradford develop into what it is now. Smell the aroma of the first parattha being cooked.

bulk of pashtuns in uk are akora khattak from nowshera... I am one of them... we came here because we aided the British... we came here in the 40s and have a large community here... our main cities are Birmingham, Dudley and Aylesbury with smaller ones in Manchester and London. Since we came we have prospered and grown in numbers... I was born here as well
because we are here in such large numbers its like someone transported our village here and u get the scandels etc.... also our village now has the highest landprices in all of Pakistan and it had net cafes, a driving school and women there work...
oh and she didnt convert btw... she kept her faith... neither was religious though

I know what you mean when you say it's like your whole village was transported here. Ayub Khan was very close with the Queen and was able to send a lot of aid when the British needed a stronger labour force.

It is amazing how Pashtuns developed there over time. Initially many used to work at the brickyards and other high intensity labour jobs. They'd work double shifts, 16 hours straight, seven days a week.

Many were fond of the drink though too, but I think things have changed now.

Mirpuris now, they literally deserted their villages back home. They'd have a wife back home who'd never see her husbands face again. Almost all had British wives or consorts. They built mansions back home for their parents and wives, but the villages had virtually no young men left. Women have needs too, and it wasn't long before sad things started happening back home.

We're originally from Landi Kotal, but spent fair amounts of time in various places. Mardan and Hazro are big ones. I know there are many Hazrowals in the UK as well.

That's really good that the women came along too, and even better that your family is educated and doesn't discriminate over gender.

I admire how you are strong in your tribal affiliations, but I think over time we move farther and farther away from those things. My family's been to Africa and back, to England, Canada (since the 50s), and we tend to take on an observers approach now, if you know what I mean.

Afridi Zakka Khels were the kind of people British nightmares were made of back in the old days. Their robbers were said to make the Saudi robbers look like gentlemen. But we're not the same Zakka Khels anymore. Our goals and ambitions are different from when our ancestors left the lands.
