^ If you handle such people with more care and decent language, then they will be more than willing to listen to your version of history and maybe also agree with it. Main reason I noticed why Pakistani Pukhtoons refuse (or ignore) to discuss politics and history with Afghans is because sometimes Afghans can get quiet nasty, you can't convince or befriend anyone with such language.

Not saying that you must have used foul language, just talking about such discussions in general.
