what i meant was the only person you can love is your future spouse and you should be able to figure if they like you back before you move forward (a man goes to the girls father, the girl just sits and waits until the man decides to go). Girl says yes or no. Do you understand now?

And no i don't mean that if someone has reciprocal feelings, it is halal. What I mean is lets say while I move forward in my life with my career and everything, and I come across someone and we talk, and then lets say I have an interest, then I try to figure out if she feels the same by directly asking her, then if I get a positive response I would send my father to her father's. I mean thats my understanding about how these things are done. Now, if I get a no, fine, I move on. Interest does not mean love. I mean this is my understanding about it. never really have had the courage to ask my parents about this stuff. I mean I would be asking my father, but I don't plan to do research into this with my father. This is just my opinion.

i don't know about all that but all i know is that every one is entitled to loving and having that one special person through out their lives. BUT ONE PERSON ONLY. there is no room for confusions, misunderstandings or other silly stuff like that when two people are in love. i don't understand how people can associate the one they claim to love with silly stuff like that. to each, his own.

So where is everyone from? Im from US, and no its not a big deal. I wish I could go back to Afghanistan when everything calms down. Do you guys think it would ever be possible for me to settle there in say 10 years when all my studies are complete, and Im a doctor. I want to open free clinics there. that is my dream!!! Would people not be able to trust me?

I have 100% the same dream as you. To inshallah become a doctor, work in Afghanistan, and open a clinic.

Once our watan is azaad, people will trust you. Right now, trust is a little hard to gain.

My second week in Kabul, i was told not to work at the hospital because about 10 harij doctors were killed. They were doctors from all around the world, working for the Afghan people, not based from NATO or other millitary. So i was told not to work for my own security.

Laila that is so long. You should begin your program in another country.

Yeah i know :/ but i kinda have no problem with it. I mean after this year, i am halfway done with undergrad. Then after i graduate, i go back to Afg, get my business done then work there for a few months. Go for my masters, then apply to medical school
