  • Old peoples homes?

Why do usually White people throw their elderly parents in old folks homes to live a miserable life.

Just when elderly need their kids most.....they are discarded.

    Isn't this cruel.

Would this trend ever happen in our culture? Do you know anyone who has done this?

i want to live in an old folks home. seems peaceful, not to mention i would be the most popular person there.
There are people today who think that admitting God’s absolute greatness decreases the value and importance of humans in the creation, as if God and mankind are rivals competing in greatness and power. Meanwhile I feel that whenever our perception of God’s greatness increases, with it we become greater, because we are the creation of a great God.

i feel terrible for those people... and i only pray i do not end up like that.

such a horrible situation to be in...

i haven't seen it happen in pashton families but hey its not like i have met every pashton family in this world... but i do hope this tradition of respect that we have for our parents last until the world ends... its a beautiful tradition.

yeah... so end of my two cents

every culture has it's ups and downs. why do white people expect their children to leave the house once they are 18?? is an ordinary 18 year old afghan girl or boy capable to go live on her own after the age of 18?? (let's assume their parents are okay with it.)
                  why do

I am no bird, and no nest ensnares me.

non commercial would cost less if he was in charge himself which he plans on doing. right now it's n herat but soon it will be in qanadahar.

i lived and worked in 2 aged care centres for aboriginal oldies and they sit outside all day. they eat their meals outdoors, under shelter too. these old people were so interesting and vital, i loved them and it was the best job i have ever had. no way would i want to work in a home for old white people. for some reason they really flag out. it is very sad.

no, but there is a big problem with it because their way of life was stolen like for the indians in america. aboriginals were nomadic and they had their space and beliefs all well worked out and organised before the whities got here.
some of the old people i worked with didn't speak english and came from the desert to see white folks within their lifetime.
some had worked with afghans and camels in the desert.

I work at a Nursing home part time.

Its so depressing. Just the other day, there was a couple that have been married for 45 years....and it was their anniversary. None of their children, grandkids, or other relatives showed up. I was so sad. So during my lunch break i quickly went to the nearby florist, bought the lady a bouquet of pink roses (her favorite) and i bought her husband a pen (he likes pens lol). I also bought them their favorite lunch, Long John Silvers.....i hope they enjoyed it.

Never in my life would i even allow my dear parents to go to a nursing home, khoda tobah.
