  • Dhaal appreciation thread

I love dhaal, what a great product I thank god for this invention. It's so darn tasty, I just had a whole bowl of it .

    So,

What do you like to have dhaal with? Rice, nan? Something else?

I love dhaal with white rice, and broccoli.

    Also,

Is dhaal fattening? Cause I munch on them

I like to have small portions of white rice, with a good amount of dhaal on the side. The broccoli is their for some kind of vegetable.

Does anyone know the Nutrition Facts for Dhaal

Dal Khor (Persian for "Dal eater" or "one who eats Dal") is a term pejoratively referring to Indians, Pakistanis or other groups in the Indian Subcontinent. The term has been used in various contexts and has even found its way to literature pertaining to Pakistan and India.[1] Pakistanis, notably Punjabis residing in the countryside, are more often given the nickname due to the popularity of vegetarianism and lack of meat in rural areas.[2] The term is commonly used by Persian-speakers throughout Iran and Afghanistan.
