Molvi saheb, i think daal is not haraam and it is not related to any caste. it is just a food.
the people of Afghanistan eat so many pulses, rice even thousands of buffaloes go from punjab and eaten there, it does not make them punjabi or daal khor or bhains khor...
use ur brain

are you not eating afghan sheaps,goats and so your punjabi masters?.
no one is against daal or daalkhori and keep eating until last movement.
you in fact act like your ,,mulana fazlullah sahib,,by using the name haram halal for everything.
i never said it is haram or halal.just throwing some lights on dhaal.
It is food and respect it cus you never know whats gona happen in the future and you may search for it.eat less dhaal to keep your head cool.

no,it is not haram.It is just the name of food but the name of culture/daalkhor too.
The south asains are refered to ,,dhaalkhor,and its ok.

I hate brown rice with carrots and raisins, I dislike the man invented this dish.

How come? Dhaal is the key to world peace, and you dont wanna share it?

Maybe A rabs should eat some dhaal so they can grow some pairs of balls.

dhaal is really tasty... we make it about once or twice every month or two months. I mean its not something commenly eatin amongst Afghans. its really really tasty though, with some white rice or bread.

now for pakistanis and Indians, Dhaal is a must everyday!. no matter what they cook, they make some dhaal... now that is just too much!...

i understand that this thread was to cheer up the kid who was crying lately and wanted some attention badly.

I dont think Afghans eat dhaal as some claim here,in our house dhaal is non existent and maybe once in 6 months its good with manthou but that still is not the dhaal you guys are fund of its a different type.

we do eat paiti with rice or dodey ,not so much fund of that either.
