Jinns, I have had many encounters with them.... I have lived in many houses back in Pakistan which were haunted...even a few in Afghanistan.. I remember..a bit of it..

Just during my holiday a month back to uk.. I lived in a few houses which were haunted.. I even spent some nights alone.. It was quite scary.. but the more you get scared of them, the more... they will push you around.. so just act normal They weren't allowing me to sleep.. at night.. It was in that one room though, when i slept in the other rooms... nothing would happen..

Haven't seen anything major in Aussie, though one night.. it was late night.. and someone was whispering into my ears.. that he has me or something..and I was fully awake due to insomnia then my arms started flowing in different directions ..It was as if someone were holding them and flippin them around..kind of crazy ..

Am currently writing a novella about my childhood. My house was haunted by jinns, and I went through a tough time growing up.

3rd person view of my life written as a story.

                      Coming soon!!!

I heard in an islamic programme that psychics call their own jinn and jinns of dead people, those jinns then communicate with the psychics jinn, and the psychics jinn relays the messages to him, and he then tells his clients/customers. It was also mentioned that a jinn would not communicate with a Muslim, so all muslims that call jinns have to carry out some form of shirk. The Sheikh then went onto saying that he asked one such "muslim" what he does to call his jinn, he said he carries a piece of paper with him that has an ayah on it, when he wants to call his jinn, he puts that piece of paper under his foot, and his jinn comes forward. of course he must recite some stuff as well, but this was the overall method.

*shudders* i always get goosebumps at stuff like this.

From a completely cultural standpoint of growing up in the west, a ghost is the soul of a dead person.

And the Jinn race, We had created before, from the fire of a scorching wind. (Surah Al Hijr, ayah 27)
We know they have free will from the story of Iblis. He was one of the jinn and when they were commanded to prostrate to Adam (alayhis salam) they all did except Iblis.
Allah said: "Then get thee out from here; for thou art rejected, accursed." (Surah Al Hijr, ayah 34)

I do think that some people are very superstitious say that anything that may be abnormal means a person is possessed by jinn. I was at a wedding in Mardan a little over a year ago and a woman wedding guest suffered from a grand mal seizure during meal time. I was heavily criticized by several others because I gave the woman medical attention and touched her. It was and still is absurd to turn a blind eye to neurological disorders and to dismiss them as being possessed by jinn. Allahu 'alim.
