To me it's an extreme. Our kids going to school are targeted and killed. These kinda events taking place among the same people without any threat. Don't know what to call it, if not extreme.

Fashion shows are not an hindrance in the way of children to go to schools. It rather prepare the milieu where students can get modern education and use their education to polish their creative skills and in future can participate in such shows.

Opponents of schools and shows are the same people, the radically fanatic bigots who by violent extremism do not let fashion shows and do not let children to go to schools.

Organizers of fashion shows do it in a civilized manner and those people participate who wish to do so and have valid invitation for the event. There is no violence, no force and no extremism there.

It seems miraculous to have such shows in the hub of Pashtun region which was or is under intense influence of Taliban and other religious extremists.

Such kind of events are a sigh of relief and something we can be proud of .
happy to see that atleast we the KPK/fata pashtuns are getting secular and secular

we should have more and more such fashion shows in peshawar.and pashtun models should contest in them

Peopel who are against this are dum, the models are wearing new fashion that is inpired of that region, this also can mean business oportunity for the peopel who make the cloths, becuase they can become famous, its like a real live commercial for there cloths. I don't see this as something to do with ideology, its more of economical thing.
            -_-

Yes the models are not Pashtuns but if its not a big deal if they are Pashtun because as you said it is not something ideological but economic so Pashtun women also have full rights as equal human beings to participate in economic activities.

I bet this whole event was planed carefully and was not made in to a big showcase, and I think if they gona organise more often something like this, they will also be targeted and killed.
