do you feel small and helpless in my presence? is that why i am a bully? you think what you are doing is not bullying?? i don't care what you think of me. this is the way i have always been and this is exactly the way i will always be. sucks to be you or anyone else who has a problem with it.
i will not deny having the ability of attaining the attention of people some of whom feel as insignificant inside as you do... feel free to escape me.
no i dont consider myself as doing what you do because it is always in defense of myself or others. thats different from being a pest, who pesters unprovoked for no ethical reason which is what you do. the more you resist stubbornness and try changing your bullying ways, the more people actually might like you to the point where you wouldnt have to resort to a emotional social life and drama on the internet out of deprivation.

i can't believe you just asked me to give you my address so you could call the cops on me. oooooo, i am scared. sniff, get lost.
oh sure, now you're trying to manipulate your words.

why are you afraid of giving me your location? if u feel scared, i would be more than glad to pm you my address. online talk is very cheap.

it would be a great relief for you to be locked up in a cage where you can no longer pester anyone.

and umm, no i dont remember because i never called the cops on any guy or girl before, maybe you had a bad dream? unlike you, i normally dont get involved with people on emotional and personal levels over the internet.

but if i were u i'd be very careful with things said online. u never know, one day it might ruin ur life.

listen, are you trying to scare me?? because that would be realllly pathetic. if so, you will have to try a lot harder than this. i am not 16 years old. tell satya sher to come up with a better and rather creative idea. this shyt is plain boring.
if you really are not an immature, online, keyboard-bully making death threats behind a computer screen, i challenge you to accept my invitation to meet up and determine for sure whether u truly have what it takes or not. why are u scared?

what this place needs is better quality posts, and not false quotes, personal squabbles, and people trying to write more intelligently than what they are - like "quas cum carpe dederis pig flew ground as fat man waddled quas coquis cum carpe diem" (basically nonsense).

There is a debate about how much to supplement vitamin D and how much ought to be expected to arise from sunlight exposure. The actual thresholds of a deficiency diagnosis are variable. The bottom line of the discussion was that the American sedentary lifestyle is also an affector on Vitamin D status. By the diagnostic criteria that are in use at many academic centers, vitamin D deficiency can be considered fairly widespread here in the US. Here is a recent Mayo Clinic Proceedings discussion on the subject:

                      http://www.mayoclinicproceedings.com...50.full#ref-23

"Factors known to influence 25(OH)D levels include race, vitamin D intake, sun exposure, adiposity, age, and physical activity. Even when all the factors known to influence 25(OH)D concentrations are taken into account, most of the individual variation of 25(OH)D values is difficult to explain. Consequently, it is difficult to assess the risk of clinical or biochemical consequences of vitamin D insufficiency in a patient on the basis of concentrations of 25(OH) D alone. The duration of vitamin D insufficiency, the responsiveness of the vitamin D receptor, dietary calcium intake, and individual calcium requirements likely modify the clinical consequences of vitamin D deficiency or insufficiency based on levels of 25(OH)D.
A single exposure to summer sun in a bathing suit for 20 minutes produces the equivalent of 15,000 to 20,000 IU of vitamin D3. In a study of Hawaiian surfers with sun exposure of at least 15 hours per week for the preceding 3 months, 25(OH)D levels ranged from 11 up to 71 ng/mL, demonstrating wide individual variation.22 Outdoor sun exposure and time spent outdoors are better predictors of serum 25(OH)D values than dietary vitamin D intake

Of course wrora, I'm not a doctor, but I would like to consider myself scientifically literate.

Race and other factors do play a role, what they find is that Europeans due to generally having fair skin absorb more solar energy to cause the vitamin D reaction mechanism to take place because of a lack of melanin, hence need less sun exposure. However women from tropical climates and or hot/dry climates like Afghanistan tend to have higher concentrations of melanin, so the decreased sun exposure has a multiplied effect since they cannot absorb enough naturally to stimulate Vitamin Production Mechanism. Dietary Vitamin D can be useful, but the digestive tract can't effectively absorb enough.

My mom's sister is a doctor in Yemen and she gives reports about women's health issues one of them is bone density of women who are veiled is lower than ones who do not veil.

I'm not saying that veiling causes Vitamin D deficiency; but lacking sun exposure certain does, and often when people veil they generally avoid sun exposure for whatever reason.

why would a persian woman in Afghanistan do something they didnt even do in their own country? Iranian Shi'i don't veil as such.

If it was a source known as wiki, then that is your citation. But weak is a much weaker source than my citation since wiki is written by anyone. My source is written by Tanya Cariina Hsu (is a political analyst and researcher focusing on Saudi Arabian and US relations, and advisor to the Friends of Charities Association (FOCA).

You see how my source is a bit stronger than anonymous wiki sources I hope.

whaaat? total nonsense, you're going by what's called APPEAL TO AUTHORITY; that doesn't make your source stronger at all; in fact it makes your source more accountable for providing verified evidence.

Her merits and work does not make her statements "factual" unless she's an actual expert in the field, there's no evidence that she has expertise in Afghan Culture/History/Anthropology. This makes this reference WEAKER

next time give Supported references with Academically credible evidence.

It's an article, not a piece of academic research work. The author is writing what she knows about history.

The point is that it is a citation, it is a reference, since her details are given.

It's an article, not a piece of opinion.

Clearly when I said citation it refers to ones with academic credibility; An article can be an opinion and this person is merely giving her own opinions until she shows her evidence that ascertain her position; hence it's an opinion piece.

Rubbish. My line of argument has always been the same here.

That the veil is not a Pashtun tradition. It is a recent addition to Pashtun culture brought on by instability in the area. Invaders into the area brought with them ideas of veiling (Christian Byzantine invaders initially) which eventually stuck. But only in the last few centuries.

This argument is utter tripe; you're just using the remarks from that paper which has NO factual evidence in support of it and using it's "arguments" as facts. Utter nonsense.

Several Hundred years isn't that recent when it comes to cultural practices. When something exists within a culture for centuries, it's their tradition.

That is why I have given you a reference that you don't seem to want to accept, because it doesn't suit your argument.

But alright, here's another reference which was easier to find because it was from around 200 CE. It would be nicer to have clearer images from the 10th century (and I can assure you they exist), but would require a lot more search).
I dont accept it because it has NO BACKING ...it's someone's creative writing excursion.

(Buner, Swat, KhyberPakhtunkhwa, woman in middle).
Pashtuns migrated to Swat around the 16th-17th Century; how do you know these people were even Pashtuns??? Furthermore even if we supposed they were Pashtuns, and that is a strong emphasize on SUPPOSE, how would this even be relevant? Our debate is about PASHTUN ...MUSLIMS

This is what I mean, your argument lacks so many factual gaps. You assume too much. Like you assumed Kabul to have been Pashtun inhabited in the 16th Century.

Islam was not introduced until the 11th century significantly.

So, when exactly did Pashtun women start covering up in large numbers? It was around the 17th century, due to the wars.

Many are claiming that it was earlier than this. Yet they've provided no evidence. I'd like to see this evidence that they claim there is so much of.

If there is no evidence, we can say it is not an indigenous tradition of the Pashtuns since face veiling was introduced by invaders, and for whatever reason (wars probably) veiling stuck in recent centuries.
appeal to ignorance, argumentum ad ignorantiam, argument from ignorance, informal fallacy, logical fallacy, critical thinking

Logical Fallacy, Absence of Evidence is not Evidence of Absence. You cannot assume that lacking evidence proves your postion; your position too lacks evidence, so therefore the same conundrum falls on your position. However, the debate isn't whether or not it's indigenous to Pashtuns, remember I was already willing to concede PRE-ISLAMIC Pashtuns didn't veil? The argument was that it was a Pashtun Muslim tradition, which is abundantly evident by the fact it's been amongst Pashtun Muslims for centuries.

You're changing goal posts from swaying from Pashtun Muslims, to pre-Islamic Pashtuns, stop trying to misrepresent the parameters of discourse.....It's not like I don't notice.

Now if we go by your argument, We dont even know if the Pashto language is indigenous to Modern Day Pashtuns, we have no records of it before the 15th-16th century. We have some speculative evidence, of people who were alleged to speak a language unintelligible to Persian and Arabs in the mountains of Ghor, but that does not necessarily prove it was Pashto.

Your argument demonstrates nothing except neither of us know what Pashtun traditions were before a certain time.

However I provided evidence that it did exist prior to the 17th Century; the story in Baburnama explains that Afghan women veiled their faces. Scroll up to see the post.

Also You're making grossly unfounded assumptions that you peddled from that Author's opinion piece, if wars were a factor at all, then we'd see no veils during Ahmad Shah Abdali's successes in war and securingh territory, since Afghanistan and the Pashtun populace was secured during his reign.

So the claim makes no sense what so ever.

I can see some women there. You're just not looking hard enough.
I expanded the picture to about 300% on my Google Browser, sorry guy, NO WOMEN, get your eyes checked.

In any case, the argument isn't whether Pashtun women are rarely seen in depictions, it is whether they are veiled. Two seperate things.
Not so, the two are intrinsically related. They're not seen because of this idea of veiling.
