Sheenkay, does it only happen with fake ones? I was like you too once upon a time, until I got myself used to fake ones. I mean, gold and silver are delicate things every girls wants, but all you need some colour too. Come to my room. earrings and bangles are the main part of my decorations ...

Oh yeah, heavy long ones are a killer. My ears go twice their size when I wear heavy ones ...

I had my belly pierced before I converted. I took it out because I was told it was haram. But the hole is still there...and it wont close up. Even after 3 years....

It hurt sooooo bad getting it done. I actually passed out in the piercing place. :$ yaaa I don't recommend it.

Everyone one of my friend that got it done passed out right then...and had it infected many times. I used to want to get it done, but i just dont find it necessary at all anymore. Since we dont expose skin you know.

According to Qrratugai, the best piercings are: 1 in each earring, one side of the nose, and on the belly.

Anything more than that would be too much for me.

The belly - don't show it to anyone (well, maybe your beloved, hah :p ... or your husband, of course). My Quran teacher's daughter has her belly pierced -- and they're quite religious, I tell you. Not that HER getting it makes it halaal necessarily, but there's nothing *in* Islam that says you can't get your belly pierced.

It's only a matter of who you show it to. I'd think it should be fr yourself because, for one, ladies, can we do something *for* ourselves? It's actually quite a great feeling, doing something just to make your own self happy!

But, yeah, belly piercings are absolutely HOT.

As far as infection is concerned, they WILL get infected if you don't take good care of your belly piercing. If you wash/clean it twice daily for about the first five months, at least through dial soap, it'll be perfectly fine and healthy.

About eight months after the piercing, you get to replace the old ring with a new, beautiful, even dangling one. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhh -- beeeeauty at its peak :D:D:D

I've very few friends who have gotten infection from belly piercings; the rest are fine.

So if you don't wanna take the risk, don't get your belly pierced.

OMG! Really? :O When did you get yours done? 'Cause here, it's like a less than 2-millisecond pain! In fact, you don't feel anything at all. The entire time, you have your eyes closed in fear of pain, but then you're told it's done, and you're like, "Whuhh? What about the pain? I thought it was supposed to pain!" And, nope! No pain at all!
