Re: Ladies or guys,
I think skinny jeans are absolutely GORGEOUS.
How to be modest WITH jeans on? Simple: Don't wear an extremely short shirt... like, make sure your behind (and maybe hips too) are covered.
Besides, if you live in a community where pretty much EVERY girl around you wears skinny jeans, what makes you think that a certain guy is more likely to note YOU and not the other girls wearing the same thing? :p It's mostly about standing out: the more you stand out, the more likely you are to attract folks (whether in a good way or a bad).

Re: Ladies or guys,
Oh wow. Wait, are you a girl or a boy? 'cause if you're a girl, that must apply only to you (and maybe to some other girls who are like you), but if you're a boy, please don't tell us WHY girls do what they do, lol. I'm a girl, and I wear jeans. And I LOVE jeans. I don't believe in impressing society or men at all; in fact, I'm SO against the whole idea of impressing society/men that I have absolutely *no* respect for women who'd do anything to attract a man, get a man, or please society.Originally posted by KandaharyI think girls wear jeans to impress guys, its a fact girls care about how their butts look.

Re: Ladies or guys,
I owned my first pair of Jeans about two months ago (seriously), and only because it was a bargain buy. I am not a Jeans fan in the slightest, for myself that is. Others wearing it doesnt bother me. But yes, I find it looks rather hilarious when youre in the local/Halal butcher and a neutral family comes along. Dad is ordering the meat, wearing Jeans, kids playing around him, wearin Jeans, and wife comes round the corner with what they call a handkerchief scarf round her ears, also in Jeans. Priceless scene.
Many women will argue that they like to reveal the shape of their thighs and reveal to some extent their femininity through the way they dress, and yes, to impress (oh too much illiteration). But, you tell me,which part of Jeans is feminine anyway? Didnt it start with cowboys? You can be modest, yet in style too. Break a trend, it often catches the eye better. Not skin tight as if it were sewn on your own body, then and there...thats something my head would turn from in disgust. Abaya is my choice.
And aren't some of you guys getting a bit excited? *Ouch*

Re: Ladies or guys,
Oh, of COURSE! And studies ALWAYS represent the views of the *majority* of the girls.Originally posted by shlombayIm sorry to rudely interrupt but I think a study was once done that the majority of girls that wear jeans are worried and hope their behind looks nice.
Geez, seriously? How many studies actually speak the truth? How many actually represent the REAL voice of the masses? Which kinds of girls were sought for the study? What were their backgrounds? What were their personalities like?
C'mon now. Don't trust everything you read.

Re: Ladies or guys,
No, *I* don't because it's going to be covered with my shirt anyway. And besides, I always look good :D (No, seriously... what I MEAN to say is that I'm not gonna NOT buy pants/jeans just 'cause they don't make my back look good.)Originally posted by shinwari^So when you BUY jeans you do not check to see how your behind looks? Lets be serious now. That is a commonly accepted fact.
I try the jeans on for only two reasons: 1) if they fit me ('cause my size seems to change each time, haha), and 2) if I am perfectly comfortable in them.
If either of them is missing, then I don't buy the jeans.
I rarely wear pants 'cause it's just impossible to find pants that fit me! :S
And I prefer jeans to partug 'cause that's just me. I'm more comfortable in jeans.

Re: Ladies or guys,
I wear jeans, especially skinny jeans. I am petite so it helps i mean length wise and fit.....HOWEVER, i do not go into the fitting room to try them on and think HMMMM is this going to make me sexy or make my butt look big, or what a minute, O*M*G, would this make guys head turns??!! ummm, I DONT THINK SO! come on now. My legs are covered, no skin is showing. And i dont wear tight jeans so that it can flatter my butt, hips, etc. and to the point that it RIPS when i sit down. Obviousl, I dont wear shirts that show my belly, naval area. Noooo i would never even feel comfortable wearing that.
Just because i wear jeans does not mean i am not descent and that i am dressing improper or that i am dressing to impress the opposite gender, really? come on people.
i dont mean to twist this thread, but let me ask, how many of you male members wear shorts? Especially living in the West, i would like to know.
