why do some of moslem follow what they preach and others not

Because when a Muslims faith is strong, he refrains from wrong doings and when his faith is weak, he will be easily tempted to do wrong.

The solution for a Muslim is to be steadfast, meaning do all the obligatory acts of worship, plus the voluntary acts of worship prescribed on daily basis. Worship prevents one from thinking of sin and disobedience to Allah because you are constantly remind yourself of Allah and you are less tempted to misbehave.

Usually the ones you do mischief among Muslims are the ones who are not doing what they are suppose to do: reading the quran regularly, 5 daily prayers, 12 additional prescribed voluntary prayers, zikr ( reminding onself of Allah) and most importantly, avoiding places or things that lead people astray.

Things that lead people astray are market places, places where women and men mix with one another, places where there is loud music, places where people who are not observant and pious gather, conversations about useless subjects, discussions and debates ( forums etc) and television/radio/internet.

She knows they are not muslims. Sikhi is a a religion being spread in Russia. There are many Russian sikhs. In fact one of the female leaders of Sikhs in London is a Russian woman.
